This knock box arrives packed into a perfectly sized cardboard box and covered with a clear self-stick plastic pouch. The box that arrived accurately matches the product images in size, though the shown claim of it holding 23 coffee pucks is a bit vague. Is that 23 puck example from a 51mm, 54mm or 58mm portafilter and is that a single or double shot basket? I’d take the ‘23 cup’ claim with a grain of salt but it is a sizeable knock box that has had no issues holding 12+ pucks from my 58mm double shot baskets.My first immediate concern is the fact that the quality of the moulding on the ABS plastic used for the box isn’t amazing, there are quite a few blemishes from the manufacturing process. The plastic also arrived scuffed in a few spots, despite the packaging being untouched, so it’s pretty safe to assume that it was packaged in this state. Functionally speaking though, it’s a very robust plastic that will have no issues taking the use and abuse of getting a portafilter smacked into it over and over and it cleans up easily in the sink.As for the knocking bar itself, it’s a thick rod of metal covered with a thick piece of soft rubber to prevent damage to your basket and portafilter and it does the job perfectly. I much prefer the form-factor of this knock box to the generic bucket style ones with the friction fit bar. I’ve got a smaller knock-box that doesn’t secure the bar in place and I was endlessly frustrated by the bar jumping loose when I gave the portafilter a proper whack on it. So having the bar screwed into position gives you the best of both worlds as it’s solidly locked in place and it won’t bounce out of the box even with a particularly hard knock. Then if you do need to remove the bar for a deeper clean it’s just a case of undoing the two screws and pulling it from the box, but for a day-to-day cleaning a quick rinse with water works fine even with the bar screwed in place.At the current price point of £13.99 I genuinely can’t fault this too much, and putting aside the minor cosmetic blemishes in the plastic it’s a very good option if you’ve got the space to accommodate it.

In China hergestellt bekommt man einen sogenannten Abklopfbehälter mit einer Größe von 173 × 138 × 75 mm. Dadurch beträgt die Kapazität der Box etwa 1600 ml, was für etwa 23-28 Scheiben gebrauchten Kaffeesatzes ausreichend sein sollte. Dieser Platz reicht bei uns bei weitem aus.Der Behälter besteht aus robustem ABS-Kunststoff und der eingelassene Schlagstab wird aus mit Gummi umwickeltem Edelstahl gefertigt. An der Unterseite verfügt die Box über rutschfeste Gummipads, die zusätzlich die Arbeitsplatte in der Küche schonen.Die Verarbeitung der Matte macht einen guten Eindruck und irgendwelche Fehler sind nicht zu entdecken. Man kann also von guter Qualität sprechen.Die Reinigung der Box geschieht unter fließendem Wasser, eventuell unter Zuhilfenahme eines Tuches.Der aktuelle Preis beträgt 14,99 €.Zusätzlich kann man noch etwas Geld sparen, denn auf der Produktseite besteht die Möglichkeit, einen Coupon über einen Rabatt von 15 % einzulösen.Ich halte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für absolut in Ordnung und deshalb bekommt das Produkt von mir 5 Sterne.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

- The container is made of thick plastic and feels really durable- and the knock bar has a soft rubberized feel to it. So, it is not going to damage the portafilter or the portafilter baskets- As you can see in the image, it is way spacious comparing to the usual cylindrical container- and thus it also takes almost twice the space- One thing I dont like is that, the knock bar is screwed to the container and you are going to need a screwdriver to take it out- otherwise, all good so far

Dieser Abklopfbehälter ist eine praktische Ergänzung für jede Espresso-Ecke.Er steht dank der Gummifüße sehr stabil und verrutscht nicht. Obwohl er aus Kunststoff ist, wirkt er robust.Das Abklopfen des Siebträgers funktioniert einwandfrei und die Reinigung von Hand ist unkompliziert.Er passt perfekt neben meine Maschine.Kleiner Tipp: Wer einen Garten hat, kann den Kaffeesatz super in die Beete geben. Hält Schnecken fern und dient als natürlicher Dünger

Der Abklopfbehälter hat eine Super Größe - da passt viel rein und man prügelt nicht ausversehen auf den Rand.Der Klopfer ist etwas dünn und auch ein bisschen arg hart. Das Kunststoffgehäuse insgesamt etwas dünn.Es ist überhaupt nicht so, dass er dadurch instabil wird, aber er überträgt das Klopfgeräusch besser. Will sagen - der alte Behälter hat eine weichere Ausklopfstange, die auch etwas breiter ist, und das Gehäuse ist etwa ein Drittel dicker. Damit dämpft es die Schläge super gut weg. Dieser hier klingt lauter....Trotzdem ist er im täglichen Gebrauch wegen der Größe. Ich habe ihn auf eine Moosgummimatte gestellt - damit wird er leiser.

This knock box has a larger opening than the majority available on Amazon and its rectangular design allows it to sit neatly next to your machine; in my case between my Sage Barista Express and an Essenza Mini Nespresso machine.The tray has four rubber feet which stick it to the countertop surface extremely well. There is a slight warp in my unit resulting in a very subtle wobble, but not enough to cause an issue in use.The plastic is thick and reasonably well moulded. Some subtle seams and witness marks are visible; but it does feel solid and is pleasing enough to look at. Certainly for the money I can't fault the build or material quality. If it were priced higher I'd be more critical.The crossbar (claimed to be rubber-coated stainless steel) does appear to be robust. It is attached to the sides of the tray with countersunk black posi-head screws.In use I've experienced no issues so far.

Since coming into possession of a Ninja Luxe Café, my coffee consumption has increased somewhat, as has my need for peripherals and accessories - coffee stencils, funnels, that scraper thingy, and, of course, a knock box.I had no idea what a knock box was or did until I got my coffee machine but I bought one, and it's borderline essential. So much so, that when the Lords of Vine offered up this knock box by Skylette I nabbed it immediately. I mean, you should always have backups no?This is a solid, tough knock box and can take a decent strike when emptying your portafilter. It has a large capacity, unlike my current, which I empty often, this Skylette one is a massive 1600ml, so I would have to empty and clean less often, which is always a bonus.Very good stuff.

Handy container made of sturdy ABS plastic material with a softer rubber like knock bar. It has a groove on the top of the front which allows it to be used for tamping. Handy for collecting all the coffee grounds. A good sized container with a capacity of 1600ml. Will help keep the kitchen tidy.

Good size box - I only got a small one with the coffee machine so I'm loving this one. It's nice and strong so you can give it a good bash to get the puck out. Great product.
