I purchased this Regulator after having idle drop and Christmas lights on the dash randomly after installing a new ebay alternator in my 335i the voltage would be irratic and drop too low. I read about this fixing the issue due to a cheap Regulator and it instantly fixed the problem and was easy to install would recommend.

Very good quality. I saved hundreds by just buying this regulator. Almost bought a whole alternator but took the chance to tey this out and been using it for several months now.

My e90 BMW started acting as if possessed- all the warning lights going on including the abs warning, the radio turning on and off, and the wipers turning in without a way to turn them off, hard shifts, and the car not starting after turning the engine off. Checking the battery voltage with the engine revving showed the voltage going over 15v. Likely an alternator problem but a new alternator runs several hundred dollars. I reasoned that if the alternator can produce 15v, the mechanics and magnetics are fine and the only problem was likely the regulator. To top it off, changing the regulator alone is a much easier job.It's been about a month now and no further "possession" events. Problem. Solved.
