This is my second pair after a 5-year life span of the first pair. Wearing them from Oct to May every year in Canadian winters.Was thrilled to see they have not changed this boot since my last pair. No need to mess with a good thing!Light weight, comfortable (once broken in), warm and dry!Worth every penny

I love these boots this is my 5th pair of irish setter boots. I have several different pair for different activities. Work, play, hunting,etc. All have fit just right and have lasted a long time. I have a wide foot and the wide fits me perfect. Right out of the box it feels like these were made for my foot. Each pair is so comfortable I rarely take them off. I am on my feet 14 to 16 hours a day and my feet are tired but not sore. Customer service: I had some trouble with finding some replacement laces for a pair of older boots. I contacted Irish setter customer service and they helped me find exactly what I needed and shipped them to me quickly.

I ordered these boot for my high-country scouting, hunting, and trekking trips throughout Northern and Central Utah. The pair fit as expected and have taken little or no time to "break-in" during this scouting and shed-hunting season. As stated in the description the boots are completely waterproof and I have even submerged them completely for hours during a recent fishing trip with no issues. The 600 level insulation is a perfect mid-level mountain boot, meaning they are great in the snow as well as the high-country heat. I fully recommend this boot to any serious outdoors-man/woman who is looking for tough, durable, and comfortable addition to their mountain arsenal.

Sometimes these two statements don't go together but I've noticed that there are quite a few products that are Made in China and also High Quality and this is one. I think it depends on how well the company controls the materials and the manufacturing process used, as well as the design.These are superior boots for extreme conditions. I usually order 1 size up and 1 width up from my measured foot size and these fit like a glove with thick socks and no bottoming out in the toe cavity. But there's enough wiggle room to not flatten the boot /sock insulation too much. The footprint is exactly the same as my walking shoes, but they do weigh more by at least 2-3X, anyway thanks to Irish Setter for providing an excellent boot in the larger sizes and widths than the common 14M limit.I decided to return these because the Amazon pricing isn't as competitive as usual, the price had been bothering me a great deal but I finally found a good deal at the shoe factory. So this initial review is on fit and construction. The update on use will have to wait including answering the question "Can I drive a car with these boots on?" (probably not).
