Such a lovely yoghurt strainer. Argh. I loved this thing.. but the little clasps one the side that hold it down to press tofu? Made of thin plastic! Broke after three uses.

I made yogurt using 2.4 l milk so I expected to put all the yogurt done in this filter. I couldn't put even a half of it

Although its stated capacity is just the bowl, it is perfect for straining 2 batches of 2.2L of milk turned to yoghurt. I strain 1.1L for 24hrs, drain the whey, before adding a 2nd batch. I let both drain for 2-3 hours then mix both for Greek style yoghurt. It means you only have to wash it once!

Definitely worth every penny. We make a lot of Greek yogurt and needed a decent strainer. This is by far the best we've tried. Easy to use and clean too. Just pour your yogurt into the stainer, cover with the flat, internal lid and clip the cover on. I don't use the spring at all. A seal forms between the yogurt and the flat lid which produces its own pressure and helps separate the whey. I pour in approx. 1 litre of my home made yogurt, and almost immediately the process begins. As we like extra thick yogurt, we let it drain for 12 hours, but that's personal preference.This vendor delivered to my preferred pick-up location too which was an added bonus.

I'm happy with it, it strained my batch of yoghurt well, got a nice clear yellow whey to use on a next batch and the press made a nice firm cheese, but it won't strain for oatmilk, it just sat there in the filter and a few drips came through, I recommend to stick to straining out whey, the mesh is incredibly fine.
