Das Rosettenschloss wirkt hochwertig, aber... Hat man einmal die Verblendung mit dem Drehknopf bzw. die Außenseite auf die Trägerplatte gesetzt, ist es fast unmöglich, diese wieder zu entfernen. Zum Glück hatten wir nur eine Seite befestigt und konnten mit roher Gewalt die Verblendung wieder raushämmern, nachdem die Tür bereits eine Macke abbekam. Leider hat die Trägerplatte zu wenig Spiel, und es kommt hier auf den Bruchteil eines Millimeters an. Wir versuchen jetzt unser Glück mit einem Produkt, bei dem die Trägerplatte aus Kunststoff ist.Außerdem mussten wir die Schrauben mit Hilfe einer Metallsäge verkürzen.

Grundsächliche eine gute Sache,mit bissle Geschick kann man sein altes Schloss so abändern das man das System auch nutzen kann. Jetzt zum großen ABER.Wenn man die Verblendung draufsetzt ist die nur noch mit starker Gewalt zu lösen von der Trägerplatte. Heißt man macht Macken in die Tür. Habe beim 2 Satz die Haltenasen reingedrückt so das die sich später ohne große Gewalt wieder lösbar sind. Außer man möchte das so.Bei mir war schon bei Lieferung ein Satz zusammen.Nicht so dolle. Bis ich die erstmal gelöst hatte. Darum nur 3 Sterne.

Der Einbau gestaltete sich unnötig kompliziert, da die begefügte Verschraubung gekürzt werden muss. Die Metallrosetten sind nachteilig gegenüber den heute üblichen Kunststoffrosetten. Ich würde den Artikel kein zweites Mal kaufen.

Es war sehr müßig das Schloss einzubauen. Es ist auch sehr hakelig beim drehen. Kaufempfehlung würde ich hier nicht weiter geben

Von allen Varianten das beste Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Verschraubung Vollmetall nicht billiges Plastik so wie bei den alten Schlössern wo genau das Plastik gebrochen ist.

Review for MARIE Door Handles with Lock, Privacy Door Knobs for Interior Bedroom Bathroom with Turn Locking, Compatible with Right & Left Handed Door, Ideal Where Locking Function Privacy is Required Such 1 packA good quality pair of lockable door knobs. The door door knobs have a very attractive durable finish. Fitting these was reasonably straight forward, and comes with a paper template to mark out places you need to make holes. For me this required making a few holes using a hole saw, however make a note of the orientation of handles, as I inadvertently fixed the internal one the wrong side of the door. With everything correctly marked out it took me around 45 mins to remove the current handle, make all the holes and fix the new handles, followed by around 20 minutes just neatening up. Overall good quality, nice finish, easy to fit and very well priced.

I used this simple lock/knob set up to replace a very similar key lockable example. Fitting was therefore extremely easy. If you have a new door, or previously had a different style of set up then you may need to do a bit of drilling and associated fiddling. NOTE please that this lock doesn't have a key set up. You can lock yourself in but when you leave, say you're going out and want the door locked, then it doesn't do that. As mentioned in the advertising guff, you can open from outside with a screwdriver if someone has locked themselves in. Like a typical bathroom/toilet set up. All it the quality is OK, same as two similar lockable versions I have. Note as well that the reason I had to replace the similar lock is that it just broke one day internally. So build is average on these designs and this one looks very similar. They are cheap tho and so maybe see these locks as a 2-3 year investment. maybe you'll be luckier. Similar are available for a £ or so less if you want a shop around, but this is as safe a buy as any I'd say if this kind of lock is what you need.

It used to be a struggle to keep handles firmly attached to doors, especially hollow doors, and I suffered a few injuries from burred and projecting brass screws as well, so I happily embraced this style of handle when they became available. In this design, the two opposing handles are held tightly together, with the door sandwiched in between, rather than being screwed separately to the surface on either side. This eliminates any chance of the handles loosening or falling off, and also reduces alignment issues. A similar through-fixing approach has been used in the past, of course, with drilled bars linking the handles, and even threaded bars in one antique example I have used. But this bolt-through system is fairly standardised now, and has the advantage of easy interchangeability. I fitted this set in under ten minutes. That will be the case when the door is already fitted with the same type of hardware, The asterisk above refers to the fact that it will take a lot longer if the door is new or has other hardware and needs to be prepared for these handles. In that event, a hole saw and large drill bit will be needed in order to be able to fit the handles. A template is provided to help in positioning the holes. The job may be complicated by existing openings from older hardware. Once done, though, future changes are simplified, and very quick. The tubular latch can be adjusted for different back-sets (the distance from the door shut edge to the centre of the handle spindle). The long fixing screws have ridges behind the head which engage with slots on the seats to prevent the screws loosening. You will hear them clicking as they are being tightened.This set is typical of what I have used before. The construction is almost entirely from sheet steel, spun and folded. Even the latch is hollow. Everything is light and feels under-engineered. But it's deceptive. The design is clever and functional. You don't get the feeling of well-oiled machinery, and there may be some rattling and scratchiness, but they work very well and are easy to operate. The privacy type has a thumb-turn on the inside handle that locks it. It can be released in an emergency from the outside using the key provided (or a screwdriver). Since only the handles are locked and not the latch, it may also be possible to operate the latch using a credit card or wire in the gap.
