I must admit that I misread it and I was expecting the entire kit. That was my mistake because it clearly says ' adapter only'The adapter fits with DeWalt 18V lithium batteries and comes with some useful features like an USB C (PD) port, an USB A (QC 3.0) port and a 12V DC port. A built in LED light with three different bright levels (130-230 lumens) can be found at front, which is very useful when there is low visibility.The size and weight feels just right, the material looks solid and even includes a carrying straps, a nice very thoughtful touchIt is great product if you already have a DeWalt battery.Overall a good product!

🔋 This USB adapter fits a range of DeWalt 18V Li-Ion batteries, including DCB180, DCB181, DCB182, DCB183, DCB184 and DCB200. The battery isn’t supplied, but I have multiple high capacity ones already, which made this a worthwhile addition. It clicks into place cleanly and draws power from the battery without issue.⚡ There are two USB outputs supporting PD, QC2.0, QC3.0, AFC and FCP protocols, alongside a 12V 3A DC output. Fast charging did activate successfully on my phone. I also confirmed support for AFC and FCP during testing. However, it wasn’t able to sustain even 1 amp on my dummy load, so the actual current capability under heavier use remains uncertain. Quoting output in amps rather than watts would have been clearer. The overall capacity will be shared between the combined ports and the torch.🔦 The unit includes a torch with three brightness levels, activated by a long press and cycled with further presses. I found it effective enough for basic work or emergency use. Construction feels solid, though it’s mainly plastic and fairly lightweight—there isn’t much going on inside beyond the board and ports. The belt clip fits snugly but I’ve not used it; possibly useful if mounted or suspended for camping. A lanyard is included.🔋 It’s well suited to keeping in a car or van, especially for under-bonnet use if you break down. Being able to draw power from a standard DeWalt battery adds flexibility. It’s inexpensive, reasonably made, and does the job if you’re already using this battery platform. It’s worth noting that this style of battery will slowly self-discharge over time whether the adapter is connected or not, so best to keep an eye on charge levels. Altogether, a useful tool and good value. ✔️

The battery adaptor appears to be well made& of course, if you throw it about it will break, all plastic adaptors will break if not looked after.The Battery adaptor is on offer today for £12.00 when paired with my Dewalt battery will enable me tocharge my phones & have an emergency light ideal for power outage .Of course there are many other uses for the battery adaptor. I tested the usb & the usb c port.I used the usb port to charge my Samsung Galaxy A6. It charged okI used the usb c port to charge my Samsung Galaxy A15. It charged okThere is also a light that has 3 settings. I have not used the circular 12V-3A outputI do like the battery adaptor, it is well priced, many uses work home blackouts etc

Great idea, a clip on adapter for DeWalt batteries, giving fast charging usb sockets, a 12 volt 3 amp power socket and a led torch with three brightness settings.Everything works as advertised. The charging is PD on the usb c socket, suitable for Apple phones, and QC3.0 on the usb a socket, for everything else the led light is useful as a close up work light. I haven’t tested the 12volt power out.This is a lightweight unit which is disappointingly made of a brittle plastic. The belt clip is very inflexible and, out of the box, there was already a crack halfway across the belt clip. Doesn’t bode well for surviving rough handling.Good idea, disappointing choice of construction material.

If you are organised, your power tool batteries will always be fully charged and that means that your ordinary power tool battery for your Dewalt drill (or other Dewalt power tool) can be used as an emergency charger for your phone or tablet.This adapter attaches to your Dewalt battery in the usual way by sliding onto the top of the battery and pressing the release button on the battery to slide the adapter fully home. Once it has been attached, the adapter can then make use of all that power stored in your power tool battery. This means that in an extended power cut (Let's say you live in a remote area that experiences power cuts lasting several days every time there is a winter storm) you can use your power tool battery to keep your phone/tablet topped up once your usual emergency power banks have depleted.The adapter also has a torch function built in. The torch is extremely bright (I discovered that by accidentally pointing it towards my face when I switched it on). The torch has three brightness levels, press the torch power button to switch between the three levels. Also on the adapter are two USB ports. One is a USB-C and the other is a USB-A(USB-2) port. These can be used to fast charge a phone or tablet. There is also a 12v DC power jack port on the other side of the adapter. This power jack port could potentially be used for charging a laptop, but you would need to check the power requirements of any laptop battery before attempting to do this.At the time of this review, the adapter is selling for £14.99 and that seems like a very reasonable price for such a useful device.
