The RaspiAudio Audio DAC Hat is a good choice if you’re looking to add mic and audio in small package to your Raspberry Pi projects. I used it to make a voice assistant with my Raspberry Pi 3, and it worked pretty well overall.Getting it set up was fairly easy their website had directions for installing the drivers using the command line.The speaker quality is just okay, but I wasn’t expecting much from it.The mic quality is pretty good. It picks up voice clearly and works perfectly for voice commands, which is what I needed it for.All in all, it’s a nice little addition for Raspberry Pi projects if you’re not super picky about sound quality. Works great for functional stuff like voice assistants.Rating: 4/5

I have ordered two of these, both arrived with one of the speaker covering meshes missing.By default the microphone volume is so low that nothing audible is being recorded from speech.If you crank the volume up to 150% then it starts to record some useful audio.I sent them back, shame really, I really liked the onboard speakers.

Ich habe nach einem Lautsprecher für eine Hörspielbox gesucht.Der Audio Hat hat eine völlig annehmbare Lautstärke und der Klang ist für die Größe ok.Denke für ein Radio oder ähnliches wäre er auch geeignet. Musik würde ich jedoch nicht dauerhaft darüber hören wollen.Das Mikrofon habe ich nicht getestet. Konfiguration und Nutzung waren völlig problemfrei und durch den zusätzlichen Header gehen auch keine Pins verloren.Für mich eine Klasse Lösung zu einem guten Preis (ca. 12 Eur zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs).

Wer einen günstigen und guten Audio- DAC für einen 40Pin GPIO SBC (z.B. Raspberry Pi) sucht, ist hiermit bestens bedient. Andere, baugleiche DACs (wie HifiBerry oder JustBoom) sind auch nicht besser, nur teurer.Vom Chip her ist es ein 1:1 Clone des HifiBerry DAC Zero. Kaufempfehlung!

Im Vergleich zu Usb-Sounkarten deutlich geringere Latenz und super geeignet für Midi-Musikinstrumente.

-The speakers punch above their weight.-The onboard mic as good as a tiny, tiny mic.This is pretty good for a baby monitor. I originally give this three stars, but it was because I hadn't played around with it enough. Running alsamixer from terminal helped quite a bit for me. I still wonder if this is the right one, but it works well so who cares.
