Leather was super stiff and didn't get soft after oiled and use. I can live with that but then then clip that attaches the reins to the leather broke. It's was very poorly attached. These reins only got used a handful of times and I already have to get new ones.

Needed some braided reins for my hunter bridle. I usually prefer the cloth/rubber combo with the little grips ever since I broke my hand and it has a mind of its own lol - These were wider (I want to say like an inch) which has been helping me hold on, especially over fences. Oiled them once really good and the new leather softened right up. Had them a few months now and they've held up splendidly. The brown is a smidge light but I imagine it will darken over time. Would recommend.
