Was looking for a smaller scale model (it's not tiny) so this was great. It's an old model and not particulary accurate (none of Shuttle models is), but it has recessed panel lines, no join down fuselage middle as it is one piece and comes with quite a nice base to display it on. Some of the moulding is a bit hit and miss and thin in places, but with care it builds up to a very nice model. Includes Columbia decals but only for STS 109 and 107. For £10 I recommend it.

Bello... Anche se nella foto ci si aspettava in una dimensione leggermente più grande. Semplice assemblaggio. Valido per modellisti senza pretese.

Das Modell ist leider überhaupt nicht so wie ich es erwartet hatte. Bei einer festeren Berührung geht es fast kaputt. Die Aufkleber ließen sich nicht vom Papier lösen. Nun steht hier ein Modell dass mit Sekundenkleber gehalten wird und ohne jegliche Beschriftung

Ich habe das Shuttle für meinen kleinen Sohn (6) gekauft und muss sagen, das hätte ich lassen sollen. Es ist - auch für den geringen Preis - ein überteuerter Plastikschrott und ein peinliches Geschenk. Das Teil ist weder hübsch noch irgendwie wertig, es ist einfach nur doof und überflüssig. Die Kleinstteile, die da ineinander gesteckt werden sollen, fallen bei jeder Berühung gleich wieder ab und mein Sohn, der sich für Weltraum, Planeten und Raketen interessiert, hatte schon die Lust am Spielen verloren, bevor das Ding überhaupt zusammengesetzt war. Fazit: rausgeschmissenes Geld!

This model is advertised as "Snap Tite" on Amazon. This usually means that no glue is required and sometimes the model is pre-painted. Neither is true for this model. It looks terrible out of the box and I'm not going to let my four-year-old loose with toxic model paints and cement. While many of the connection points have stayed together adequately without glue, several key ones do not; for example, the booster rockets slide down over pegs in the lauchpad, causing a gap between the parts. It is obvious that some of the connection points were not designed to snap together at all. The instructions are not in English, which wouldn't bother me too much, but they aren't that good either. The price was good, but in this case, you really do get what you pay for.For those who are picky about these things (and this should have been a red flag for me), Snap Tite is a registered trademark of Revell, not Academy.
