This hoodie is perfect for cooler days/nights during the summer months for my toddler.The material is stretchy and mesh-like making it a great lightweight outer layer. It's a perfect complement to his pool/splash park/beach outfit when it starts getting slightly cooler later in the day.Using google lens to translate the chinese characters on the tag, it does indeed state that it can protect the wearer from the sun. I honestly can't tell if the rating is spf50 but despite it being lightweight and mesh, it didn't seem like the sun's rays are able to penetrate it.The overall quality of the hoodie is great and it's very similar to my AIRism hoodie from Uniqlo.

The green jacket is a really nice gender neutral color. It zips easily, and is great for providing sun protection over a tank or tshirt. The arms seem kind of long, so I wish there was elastic at the cuffs to accommodate the difference in kids’ arm lengths.Overall, I recommend this jacket.

My grandkids don’t mind sunscreen, but it is nice to have a quick alternative to throw over their short sleeves when you are in a rush to get out the door. This jacket provides great UV Protection. The material is lightweight and breathable. The hood is handy to have for windy four wheeler or Ranger rides. The jacket fits true to size and the zipper runs smoothly. It is easy to launder and doesn’t wrinkle. It also doesn’t hold onto stains. I highly recommend this for any active child!

It's hard to find thin-material hoodies for children, found this and bought a boy's and a girl's. Both came as what I wanted and expected, the material and quality are both very good. The only drawback is that the label explaining UPF 50+ protection is in Chinese, not in English.
