As a first foray into action cameras, I’ve been quite impressed with the quality produced by the AKASO V50 Pro. It took me a while to choose which model from AKASO’s extensive line-up would best suit my needs as I saw them, but I think I made the right choice. So far, I’ve only shot in 4K/30fps as this seems to be widely regarded as the optimal setting for this model. I don’t yet have the facilities to edit in 4K but it’s obvious that the image quality is there and even exported at 1080p the results are pretty impressive. My only slight moan - and it’s probably a fault of me rather than the camera - is that I’ve found it all too easy inadvertently to change camera settings (usually to slow motion) without realising it. I never understand quite how this arises (probably something to do with powering the camera down between shots to preserve the battery) - but when it does, the image is captured without sound. Speed can obviously be corrected in the edit but there remains a gap in the soundtrack and that can be quite frustrating. Probably practice will make perfect. I’d certainly recommend the AKASO V50 Pro. It feels nice in the hand, comes with a wide range of useful accessories and mounting options and, for me, represents outstanding value for money.

Wer etwas provihaftes will, muss mehr ausgeben.

Great little camera that initialises quickly and is easy to set up and go. Takes a while to familiarise oneself with the functions and switching between modes but once you have that down this little piece of technology punches well above the weight of its budget price tag. Great range of angle of view settings and modes and with its standard tripod fitting outside and compatibility with such a wide range of generic accessories available this is a must have on any trip. Battery life is very reasonable and inexpensive to purchase additional ones. I’ve got four but in a day have rarely exhausted two. The size of the little camera makes it convenient to take just about anywhere too. This device has been added to my regular take-with-me essentials. I have also purchased the dedicated external microphone directly from the manufacturers website but have yet to test it out. Highly recommended for anyone wanting 4K on a budget

This is the first review I've written on amazon.. After doing A LOT of research into which camera to buy for my motorcycle helmet, I chose this camera and it was 100% the right choice! I researched cameras like GoPro Hero, Sena, APEMAN, Crosstour, as well as the other Akaso models. I also watched YouTube reviews and compared their footage and the V50 Pro was the best one overall. I can confirm after using this for about a month now, that the camera quality is AWESOME, image stabilisation works very well, the loop recording also works very well with my SD card. So far it has been a very reliable camera and have captured some awesome bike footage with it. It comes with 2 batteries and a USB charger and it lasts more than long enough running on 1080p/60fps (my default setting as 4K/30fps does use more battery power). 60fps at 1080 works amazingly well and the video playback is super clear. I couldn't ask for a better camera for this price. There really is no need to spend around 500 on a GoPro. At least the Akaso comes with a BUNCH of accessories in the box, I always use the waterproof case. The app isn't the most amazing, and personally I prefer to take the SD card out, stick it into an adapter and insert it into my USB card reader into my phone (£10 on amazon) to view the files and download it straight into my gallery (much faster) and use it for social media etc.If you're anything like me and confused at which camera to buy, I can honestly say that this camera is well worth the money and will capture your fast paced moments very well! I'm really pleased I bought this one and I definitely recommend it. You will not be disappointed! This is the first review I've written on amazon..
