I didn't expect much when on a whim I bought this to try.The centre hole is too big so even placement is hard, it came very creased, and wouldn't sit flat, raising the record to a jaunty angle.Resorted to the steam iron to get it flat, still had obvious visual defects from creasing.Sounds awful, made my quite updated Linn lp12, sound like a 70's radiogram, flat and woolly, with a compressed frequency range.On my Rega P8 it took all the detail from the sound, and sounded even worse than on LP 12.However, it does have a couple of saving graces, it's a nice shade of red and looks good on the deck, Rega RP8 has a somewhat fiddly flat unhinged lid, which often gets left off, so this is used as a dust mat, which it accomplishes well, and looks good.Dreadful as a turntable mat, sound wise, and I've tried alot, so far original mats sound the best to my ear, and this one is last by a very long way. Nice colour though.
