As I type this wooden beer stein is priced at $60.42. Honestly? I have no clue whether or not that is a fair price for something like this, but I cannot deny it is a beautifully made piece. It really is made from genuine wood that has been meticulously crafted and flawlessly finished. I picked it up for my SIL to display in his bar (it will be right up his alley) but it is apparently safe to drink from if you wanted to actually use it. Bottom line? What you see is exactly what you get and I have no complaints.

I have let this mug air out for 2 days and it still has a strong varnish smell. I know it states that it is safe for drinking from, but with the smell, I have a hard time trusting this. The coating they put on has particles stuck to the inside and if I pick them off, then there will be no coating, so I have left them there. For me, this is a wall hanger and not for drinking from, although it looks cool. The handle does not feel good in the grip and has rough sharp edges that were not sanded smooth before coating.
