I ordered this 14 litre 3.7 gallon fish tank starter kit because I wanted somewhere to isolate sick fish. I keep guppies and sadly, inevitably, they die, and if you don't spot them (they often go into ornaments to die) they can polute the water.I would not recommend this as a stater tank for a few reasons. Firstly 14 litres is not very big unless you only want to keep a very small amount of fish. There is no heater provided which you will need if you keep tropical fish, and you also need to use aqua and bacto solutions as you can't just put tap water into a tank if you keep tropical fish.The tank itself feels sturdy and the LED display which shows the temperature is easy to read. The light options are good but let down by not having a plain white option. The filter isn't easy to figure out though and not very good once you do set it up. I use a filter with bio balls in my present tank, here you just get a piece of sponge.The water removal option is good and works OK, but make sure you use a bucket or bowl to remove old water. It is self cleaning but I would still recommend regular re-cycling. I have no idea what the aroma disc is and nothing in the user guide explains it? The temperature is stuck in fahrenheit mode which I also don't really like.I bought a 30 litre, then 40 litre tank, both for around £80 each and with that I got a heater, filter, filter cartridge, aqua and bacto solutions, and a heat chart. If you want a starter tank I would be looking at something more along those lines.I have given this 2 stars because the glass and lighting is good and it will be used as a 'sick fish tank', but even then I will need to purchase a small heater and water solutions. So it's not something I would recommend.

Easy all in one set up. Had to buy anti fungus fluid quickly as water clouded and we lost 1 fish. Another then developed fin rot quickly and also had to buy fluid for this - wasn’t quick enough to save that one, but all other fish now thriving. Both treatments under £5. Quick learning - need to be vigilant with water and fish health.After losing 2, we currently have 10 small fish / frogs (grow up to 7cm) with plenty of space.

Ich habe mir dieses Aquarium gekauft da es mir optisch sehr gut gefiel. Zunächst machte es einen guten und wertigen Eindruck. Auch die integrierte Temperaturanzeige im Deckel sieht schick aus. Der USB Anschluss im Deckel ist eine ganz nette Idee. Die LED Beleuchtung kann man in verschiedenen Farben wechseln. Allerdings ist die Beleuchtung leider für meinen Geschmack etwas zu dunkel, selbst auf hellster Stufe. Ich habe die Beleuchtung gegen eine hochwertige LED Leiste umgebaut.Wozu das Fach für eine "Aromatherapie" sein soll verstehe ich ehrlich gesagt nicht. Das hätte man komplett weglassen können. Eine anständige Beleuchtung wäre besser gewesen. Die Pumpe ist OK, allerdings ist das Material des Filters minderwertig und sehr grob. Einen Teil des Filters habe ich gegen Filterwatte und Biokugeln getauscht. Der Pumpenkasten nimmt im Becken leider viel unnötigen Platz weg. Eine kleine Heizung und dunkle Folie für die Beckenrückseite musste ich auch noch kaufen. Nach meinem Umbau bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Aquarium, aber der Originalzustand konnte mich leider nicht 100%ig überzeugen.

Mein Einsatzzweck:Das 14-Liter-Aquarium habe ich bestellt, um meine Leidenschaft für Wasserpflanzen zu verwirklichen und mein Wohnzimmer mit einem dekorativen Blickfang zu bereichern. Ich nutze es in erster Linie, um eine kleine Unterwasserwelt mit Pflanzen zu gestalten. Größere Fische passen hier nicht wirklich rein, aber es eignet sich hervorragend für winzige Bewohner wie Wasserschnecken oder Garnelen.Vorteile- Perfekte Größe für Wasserpflanzen und kleine Lebewesen.- Kompakte Ausmaße machen es zu einem idealen dekorativen Element im Raum.Nachteile- Für größere Fische oder gar mittlere ist es definitiv zu klein.- Die Auswahl der Bewohner ist aufgrund der Größe sehr eingeschränkt.FazitDas Aquarium erfüllt genau das, was ich mir vorgestellt habe: eine charmante, kleine Oase aus Pflanzen unter Wasser zu schaffen. Es ist nicht für größere Fische geeignet, aber das wusste ich bereits. Wer wie ich einen hübschen Blickfang schaffen möchte, ohne großen Platzbedarf, ist hier genau richtig. Insgesamt bin ich zufrieden und gebe vier Sterne.

A very nice, small glass 14 litre nano aquarium with great LED lights and a built in thermometer .... you can only fit in 3 small species of fish comfortably as it is only 12"×11" in size .... it operates quietly and is lightweight to carry about before it gets filled up with water

This arrived safely and looks to be well made. The glass is nice and clear and I tested it for any leaks overnight in the bath and it's all good. The instructions are rather basic, but it's not that difficult to put together. This is not the worst starter tank I have ever seen, but it does have limitations.The filter pump is housed in the area shown as being in the water. You can't add any extra media to this as the tube takes the water to the filter that is at the top of the tank. This is just simple sponge so these should be rinsed out in the drained aquarium water when doing water changes. The inlet for the water is quite large so I have glued some mesh over this to avoid anything getting in there. You will need to add your own heater which is easily done as the lid is removable and has enough of a gap to run the wiring through.The light is quite weak, I would say it's only going to be good for low light plants in the main. The colour changing is really a feature that anything inside won't care about. Similarly the aroma diffuser and USB port, completely unnecessary and I would not have anything involving essential oils near my tanks to be perfectly honest.I will be using this for shrimp and a few snails, I really wouldn't suggest this for much more than that given its size. My shrimp already have an air driven sponge filter that I will move into the filter housing to keep the cycle when I'm ready to switch them, and this is the reason I covered the filter inlet as well as I don't want them being sucked into the filter. They have a very low biological load as well so the simple sponge filter will be fine. I can't really think of any fish suitable for this size of tank.

Generell mag ich dieses Aquarium lieber als das andere Modell, was ich von diesem Hersteller erworben habe. Dennoch bin ich nicht vollkommen zufrieden. Aber erstmal das positive:- Hier wird explizit darauf hingewiesen, dass nicht jede Fischsorte für dieses Becken geeignet ist. Das ist schon eine deutliche Verbesserung zu anderen Angeboten, wo man Fische abgebildet hat, die niemals in das (damals 7Liter) Becken gesteckt werden dürften.- Ein Temperatursensor ist integriert.- Man hat, wenn man es denn mag, mehrere Lichtmodi.- Ein integriertes Filtersystem mit der Möglichkeit, auch Sauerstoff (Luft) ins Aquarium zu bringen.- Es sieht optisch auch ziemlich gut aus. - Es werden sowohl Ersatzschwämme mitgeliefert... - ...als auch die Möglichkeit geboten, mit einem kleinen Umbau, den Tank direkt über die Pumpe ablassen zu können.Aber dann kommen wir schon zu den Nachteilen und Fehlern und das sind leider nicht so wenige:- Temperatursensor ohne Heizmöglichkeit? Mann kann, weil das System so abgeschlossen ist, nicht mal eine Heizung dazu packen.- Keine Fullspektrum-LED. Es ist einfach nur weißes Licht.- Keine Timereinstellungen für die Beleuchtung.- Die Anleitung ist absolut unvollständig. Funktionen werden nicht benannt. - Was ist mit der USB-Buchse? Es ist schön, dass es eine Ladebuchse ist, aber warum nicht auch eine Notfallstromversorgung, falls der Strom mal ausfällt? Hier hätte man dann eine Powerbank zur Überbrückung anschließen können. Chance vertan. - Warum steht im Handbuch nicht, wie man von Fahrenheit auf Celsius wechseln kann? Ich hab es bisher nicht herausgefunden. - Wenn man länger auf die Pumpe oder Filter-Taste drückt, kann man das Licht dimmen bzw. erhöhen. Steht auch nirgends im Handbuch. - Laut Abbildung Handbuch ist der Temperatursensor auf der anderen Seite. - Laut Abbildung im Handbuch ist dort ein anderer Filterkasten integriert. - Keine Angaben zu den Lichtmodi im Handbuch, bzw. fast keine, auf Seite 10 werden sie kurz erwähnt, aber natürlich unvollständig.- Warum wird mit Nutzung im Außenbereich geworben? Im Handbuch steht zum Glück nochmals, dass es für den Hausgebrauch gedacht ist.
