I’ve had the long rectangular styled wheat bag for many many years, and mine needed replacing as it was looking grubby and tried, and was looking for something bigger that would give any aching body parts a bit more coverage. I put “wheat bags” in the Amazon search and this style was a version that came up. It looked amazing, covered a bigger area, and this one/this make had particularly good high reviews and a lot of them. The scented one was out of stock but I wasn’t fussed about that as i prefer unscented then I can put drops of essential oils of my choice on this one (which I’ve done previously with my old one so know it works). I opted for the grey as I didn’t think it would show grubbiness as much as you can’t wash these, you can only sponge them off.It arrived the very next day via Prime and was keen to try it out the minute I got it as I’m a recent newbie at a beginners Pilates class and I’m finding muscles I never knew I had 🤣so wanted to try it out. I followed the instructions and microwaved it for 2 mins 30 secs in my 900W microwave. I stopped it halfway to shake and reposition, but found it wasn’t hot enough for my personal heat preference. I then put it in for another 30 secs (the instructions say to keep adding additional 30 secs incremental heat times to desired heat). For me 3mins 30 secs is ideal. I like it quite hot…….and ooooooooh ohhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhh OMG it was AMAZING! (This was the Harry met Sally moment🤣). It truly feels incredible just having heat on your shoulders and neck. The higher up bit that goes up the nape of your neck is incredible and a genius idea. Really hits that spot. Yes it’s a little heavy, but not noticeably so, and it’s needs some weight to it to stop it slipping off. It’s not like you’re gonna be strolling around with it on too much. I put mine on sat on the sofa watching tv with a cuppa 😁. It was so relaxing and really helped with aching shoulders. Guess you can wrap this easily around a leg or arm on thigh as well. There’s plenty of flexibility within the material. I’d say a fair assessment is that it stays hot for about 20 mins, then obviously starts to cool down slowly, bit by bit as the minutes go by. After 30 mins it was still giving off a nice warmth (although not hot and penetrating as much as com8ng straight out the microwave). It’s still vaguely warm after 40 mins. I’d be wanting to reheat mine after 30 mins being honest. It lasts a fair time though. Half an hour isn’t bad and similar to my smaller oblong one. It’s what I expected. It’s bound to cool quite quick as it’s in the air, and no different to turning a radiator off….the room temp will obviously drop considerably after about 30-40 mins in a room too. It’s not thermos or a plug in wheat bag is it.It’s very very comfortable, and I first tried mine whilst wearing a hoodie, so had the bulky hood underneath it at the time, but the heat still penetrated through. It fits well and is very cosy and snug, but think it’s smaller than it looks on the model in the description unless she’s super tiny….but then these models usually are. I’ve put some photos on so you can see the size of it on my shoulders and I’m tall at 5ft 10” and a ladies size 16-18. It fits like a cape, almost like a hairdressers cape, but this has no fastening. Mind you it doesn’t need fastenings. It sits in place very well. It doesn’t slip about, and the velvety fabric is ohhhh so super soft around your neck…..I can best describe it as very similar feeling to the smooth soft feel of a horses nose. I like the stitching pattern on it as this helps keeps the inner contents from sliding one end to the other and keeps the beads equally distributed around the cape (something my current oblong one is missing and is very annoying as all the beads slide one side a lot). When heating in the microwave I kinda folded this in on itself in 3 or 4 directions, folding it in from the sides. You MUST make sure your microwave turntable still rotates round to stop damage to the wheat bag and microwave. I repositioned and re folded mine half way through the heating time so it got heated equally all round. It’s no hassle as most micro meals need stirring halfway through anyway. I flick the kettle on for a cuppa at the same time to keep an eye on it heating up and the shoulder wrap is warm and my tea is made in the same time 😆. I really wish I’d bought this sooner. It’s a brilliant idea, and I know I’ll use it a lot. I’m going through the peri-menopause at the moment and can have some painful tummy aches on a now more rare period day, so I bet this’ll be lush spread over my belly. It’s great it’s so big it makes it more flexible for various uses and body areas. My hubby had a go wrapping it round his leg after having sore muscles from the gym yesterday. He was impressed too. It’s a 10/10 from me. Get one, you won’t regret it. I love it. Hope you find my pics useful

I just received this one the other day. The quality of the material is honestly very nice. I purchased this because I have a herniated disc in my neck (C6) and wanted heat specifically for my neck. It has been great so far and sits nicely on my shoulders. It says to microwave for 2 minutes but I give it 3.It’s a great product for a good price - my only comment would be that I wish it remained warm for longer than it does. But that is the same with most heat packs just in general.Overall - it’s great and helps my pain.

Comfortable to use but does not seem to hold the heat as long as other designed heat bags.
