This is my chosen thread for all my fabric piecing for Quilt Tops. I use only Aurifil thread. And although it may appear to be costly, in fact it is a good buy because the spools purchased contain fourteen hundred yards of thread so it is a good buy for the price. And Amazon actually offers it at the best price daily.

Get thread and very good price. Grey is a very good neutral colour that can be used with many colours.

I use this thread for piecing quilt projects. Can be used on most colors of fabrics as it blends very well. Does not fray or break and no fuzz in your bobbin. Have used for years and sew 4 to 5 hours most days.

I had no idea that thread would make such a difference. All of the problems I used to have with my sewing machine--jamming, dropped stitches, weird extra thread clumps, excessive lint buildup--disappeared when I tried this thread.I have just finished a baby quilt in rainbow colors, and I used this thread for piecing and quilting. It never broke on me, and the lint that collects on my machine is minimal. Comes off the spool evenly and easily and hasn't once caused issues--no skipped stitches, no tangles or clogs--with my sewing machine. Nice, big spools that seem to last and last.The grey color works on all of the rainbow colors in the quilt, without detracting from them in any way.I will never buy anything else as long as this brand is available. Definitely worth it. I can see why the experts recommend it.
