Works as advertised on a 2004 Lexus ES330 with the six disc Pioneer factory head unit.Just make sure you get the proper plug! There's two types of connectors, so just pull your radio out and check (it's only 4 bolts.) This adapter works very well on my factory Pioneer-built stock radio--the other one with the 6+6 connector did not fit even though that other unit was listed as the right unit for my car.Activate the aux input by pressing CD button on the radio. It gets a little weird if FM or AM is pressed with an external audio input from this box, since both the external audio source and the internal are amplified and sent to speakers. Could be a feature, though if you want to listen to the radio and a police scanner at the same time or something like that. IDK. It is a MINOR issue considering how clean the audio is. The stock setup is REALLY good and this adapter does not add any noise I can hear.

The sound quality is poor, with static, buzzing, and metallic sounds. The Bluetooth FM adapter provides much better sound. USB charger works fine.

After my aftermarket stereo was stolen out of my 2006 Scion xB, I had to go back to the stock stereo for a bit until I could shop for and buy a new head unit.I'm not an electrician or an audio enthusiast, but I know that with the factory Pioneer car stereo there is exactly ONE open slot on the back of my head unit, featuring that 6+6 pin connection.Instead of spending $200 or $500 on a new stereo system, I thought "why not try the low hanging fruit first?" And bought this + a $13 Bluetooth car module. Both arrived same day, and I was blown away that both just worked. No soldering, no twisting wires and reading pin-outs. Just connect the empty port to this harness and plug a sound source into the harness, and bonus the BT module even works through the dash. (granted, I'm not going to run calls through it, there's no way it wouldn't be covered with a ton of road noise, but that's on me for not running an accessory externally)I should test straight-Aux without Bluetooth but that's not how I'll be running mine (I need to get an adapter that includes audio jack since those were taken away from all of us across the past six years or so).Audiophiles will not be pleased with all of their music being passed over Bluetooth (non- APT-X) but I was just grateful to not hear the buzz-buzz of signal ground noise (the BT adapter I chose was powered directly by Yomikoo car adapter, and I really expected to hear buzzing).$25 + $13 = I have a much less attractive-to-steal head unit for the forseeable future and I can quit shopping for a $500 next-gen accessory for a car that was manufactured in the Bush administration.
