These shoes are comfortable, true to size and breathable. The tread pattern is mostly 1/16” deep, with the exception of 4 horizontal bars that are 5/32” deep.They seem to offer the ultimate in protection for your feet. It includes steel toe protection on the top of the toes. The sole is protected by the same material used to make bullet proof vests to keep out dangers like stepping on rusty nails.I am not wild about the shade of pink color, but if you are looking for safety shoes for something like a construction site, these might be ideal for you. One potential drawback to that idea is that these shoes have a two-layer cloth cover over them, which may pick up and retain dust typically found at construction sites. Great shoes for woodworking or yard work with heavy tools. They are lite and easy to walk in, but the toe is still solid if you drop a board or shovel.Thick soles
