I fell on my tailbone awhile back and bought these so I would have some protection while practicing new moves on roller skates. I think these are perfect for wearing over my leggings or even under some loose cargo pants. I'm 57 years old and need to protect my tailbone and hips a lot more so these are great for just that! But I think all ages should use protective gear like this when out at the skate park or a rink practicing new tricks/moves/spins. I think it has enough padding in all the right spots and will help with softening the impact from a fall. I already have my own knee pads so I haven't tried the knee pads on while skating but they look like they would help. I did put them on for this review and they fit nicely. I'm 5'9" almost, 178 lbs, with a more muscular build and I usually wear size medium, if true to size, but the larger size of these shorts fits me perfectly! Be safe while on wheels or going down a slope on skis and get a pair!

I bought these to wear to my beginner roller skating lessons. I thought if I had more protection, I’d feel more confident. While I’m still working on the confidence, I was less afraid to practice falling on my bottom like the instructor has us do. (I haven’t fallen full-force yet—wish me luck!) It’s cushy enough and covers multiple spots (tailbone, either side of the rear, sides of hips, front of thighs). The hot pink lining the pads reminds me of Tron, and I even got a few compliments! I ordered large because I read another review that said large will fit a 28 waist jean size. I’m 5’4” and 125 lbs, and it fit fine. Not a skin-tight feel like athletic compression bike shorts, but also not so loose that it would bunch up or slide down. Very forgiving elastic waistband and wide Velcro strip closure in the front. Feels very light, not heavy at all. I bought separate knee pads because they came with elbow pads and wrist guards. The included knee pads here are cute because they match, but it’s only for mild protection—the cushioning tends to stay straight and won’t bend smoothly with the knee (maybe they have to be worn in). I’m also worried about them sliding down since they only have the sleeve, not straps. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and feel safer while I learn to skate!

Prinzipiell finde ich die Shorts und die Knieschoner sehr gut, es war bequem und man konnte sich gut bewegen. Bei mir haben die Shorts leider in den Oberschenkel geschnitten, deswegen musste ich diese zurückschicken.Die Knieschoner sind bei mir nach einer Zeit immer weiter runtergerutscht, das war mir für einen Snowboardausflug (Anfänger) doch zu unsicher. Die waren jedoch sehr bequem.Trotzdem ist das eine coole Sache!

Great for snowboarding. Falls would’ve been a lot worse without the set. Very thankful for the padding right on the tailbone. I’ve used them a couple times now and still good so far!My concern is with washing them — you can’t take the pads out so I’m worried that the quality will diminish after washing.Only other complaint is that the knee pads slide down so I have to maneuver them under my snow pants to get them back into place. Not the worst thing in the world but if you have skinnier legs, be warned lol
