This is nice, as far as inexpensive neck fans go. I've tried a few in the past so when I saw this one up for grabs so I figured I'd see if it's an improvement over the one I used last year.I unfortunately don't think that it will be. It's a very nice starter model, but it's not quite as heavy duty as I would hope. I live in an area that is still very cool. In fact, our heat is still on, but I did try it out for a hot flash. It provided relief, but it was not quite as comfortable as I had hoped. The plastic is very inflexible and stiff. It actually made a little cracking noise when I opened it up to slide it around my neck. I didn't see any damage, but nonetheless it did make the noise.It has five speeds, ranging from gentle breeze to huricane. As anyone who has ever operated a fan before knows, gentle breeze is much quieter than huricane. The good news is that it is much louder to the person wearing it than to anyone around them so it is fine even with other people around.What I think this will be perfect for, though, is my husband. He is not as sensitive to heat as I am, so he doesn't need anything quite as high level to keep him cool. I think this one, being much lighter than mine, will be ideal for him to wear while he works outside this summer.

When I ordered this neck fan, it was only $17.99, now it says I have a different variation and what looks like the same blue fan is up to $29.99 - I think that's pretty expensive. This is a fairly good/ok neck fan - definitely not super quiet, especially at the higher levels (with it being so close to your ears, it greatly interferes with hearing people around you - just an FYI). It's semi-comfortable - not really adjustable & not as comfortable as many other ones I have used. I prefer a soft bendable material on the back of my neck. It has 5 levels & can be fairly powerful. Good directions. Pretty good battery capacity. I like that it has a digital screen to tell you what level it is on & the percentage of power remaining (although you can't see it while wearing it). Easy to use - good power button location to feel for. Not too heavy. I like that it's rechargeable with a USB-C plug so you can easily recharge using a power bank or your phone cord. Seems pretty good quality. Works well, although I wish it was adjustable - I recommend but maybe not at this higher price.

This was bought as a gif5 for a friend that will be going to Florida in late June. She does not do well in the heat and thought this would be a great gift for her. It has a nice neck support lip on the back of it to help it sit upward to get good air flow. The LED screen is easy to read and and is clear when you need to recharge. The fan has 5 levels of air speed and is blade less. This is not as heavy duty as others, but for travel to help keep someone cool, it will do the job.
