For my 1998 BMW Z3: The covercraft floor mats I just ordered did not come with the grommets - which was good since the mat sizing was not an exact match - great fit, just different. These grommet kits are a perfect match and easily installed (I used my existing in floor studs)First checked the mat position several times (referenced against old mats), used a wood spade bit sized to the OD of the snap rings to score the backside, then used an exact knife to final cut the hole and to remove the mat nibs that would be inside the flange of the grommet = Brand new look - on to next project~

Did not fit the previous holes in the floor mats, measured with calipers and the inner diameter of the part (the portion where the floor mat fits into the part) and it was severely smaller than the original, cause the part to slide around and not fit snugly.

These are not direct fit for my 2000 BMW 528. However, because of how they are designed they adapted well for my application. Likely will work for other similar applications too. I have aftermarket Burber Mats w/o velcro. (I hate the old style velcro attachments. They don't work!). Ive tried many methods to get them to stay put on my drivers side. Finally I found these. I had to cut a 1" hole in my carpet which was not a big deal. Its a three piece locking system. The two piece grommets/collets snap together one on each side of the carpet for a nice finished look. the adjustable pin screws into the existing floorboard hole for the mat to slip over. Very easy install and to remove for cleaning as well. No more adjusting my mats! I love it!
