The VonLux ground anchor spike arrived simply packaged in a plain cardboard box.In the set you get a ground stake (length 38 cm, rod diameter: 9mm), flat disc, a swivel ring, a 14mm hexagonal socket and a 14mm diameter T-type wrench.All parts are well made from steel with a nice smooth black powder coating.The ground anchor is designed to be fitted in two stages, with the hex head of the main anchor stake being driven in first using either the manual T-wrench or the drill powered 14mm socket wrench, before the attachment loop and metal disc is screwed into the top.In use the device work well for securing of static objects but unfortunately if used for a dog lead the lead can easily foul on the triangular head allowing an enterprising dog to quickly unscrew the head if it runs around in a circle.However, good quality for static security.

I’ve used the Dog Tie Out Stake for camping trips, and it’s been solid. The spiral design really helps it grip the ground securely, and I’ve found it works well in both grass and dirt. The 15" length is just right for keeping my dog safely in the area without being too intrusive. The T-handle wrench and socket make it easy to screw in and out of the ground—no struggling to get it out when it's time to leave. It's durable and sturdy, so I’m confident it won’t budge even if my dog pulls on the lead. A great option for outdoor adventures with pets!

This is a good strong ground steak for keeping dogs tied up securely while out in the garden or while camping (you could probably take it to the beach too if you can find some solid compacted sand). My pups couldn't escape or pull it from the ground.The steak has a 360 rotation which stops dog leads from getting tangled and means they can move around safely.It's well made and very sturdy being made of steel. It's very durable too and has a good rust proof coating making it perfect for outside conditions. It's easy enough to install in the ground. You can either do it by hand and manually or use the drill assist for quicker installation (if the ground is particularly hard).It's easy enough to remove too. While I was installing it for my pups I had a rather ingenuous idea to use it to dig a new hole for the washing line and it's worked out perfectly, my washing line is no longer leaning at an angle and I have a steak to secure the dogs! Win, win.On the more negative side this is probably best for small or medium sized dogs. I have Yorkies and Spaniels who just like to bound around lightly. I probably wouldn't test this with a bully, a staffy or something boisterous and prone to having lots of power and strength.Still, it's well mad and perfect for my doggos. It's also a great tool to have around if you need to dig washing line poles! Recommended.

I needed this for when we are on a campsite and our adventurous hound decides to clear off to explore !I already have the line so just needed a decent anchorThis fits the brief perfectlyIn the kit , you get the auger type anchor , and they very helpfully supply a hand held socket for screwing it down , but they also supply a socket with a hex shank , which can be attached to a drill for screwing it in , which makes life easier !Once screwed in you can then screw/attach the eye piece on the top , you can either clip to that or they also supply a plate and a swivel which can be fitted and the line attached to that so it doesn't get tangled , you then have a secure anchor for your dog line to attach to .I have tried it already in my garden in soil and it worked well and there was no way my dog was going to pull that outAll feels robust and I think this is great value and I would recommend
