I needed to install grab bars in my shower, but was very leery of drilling into the tiled walls. After reading multiple reviews and watching many instructional videos, I settled on this Bosch tungsten carbide drill bit set. Since I had never drilled tile before, I purchased a single porcelain tile from a big box store (less the $1) and drilled a test hole to get a feel for the process. With firm pressure and starting slowly, the bit immediately dug into the tile with no skating and easily drilled through the sample tile. After one test hole, I was ready to tackle the shower project. Long story short, I quickly and easily drilled the 12 holes through the tile walls to install two grab bars using the 3/16th inch bits. Once through the tile, I changed to the appropriately sized wood bit to drill through the drywall and into the studs.
