These work brilliantly, with just one caveat ... if you have access.A lot of engine bays these days are just rammed full of stuff and getting access to do a simple job such as changing out the oil filter can sometimes be a real pain. I tried these wrenches today and they work brilliantly. They're also well made. Good solid arms on them and easy enough to adjust the jaw width too. They offer a great grip and clamp down well onto the filter itself. It's also useful to have two sizes.I would say that if you work on a few cars, or service your own family cars then these are really useful. IF however you only work on your own car and the oil filter is located in a place where you struggle to gain access then maybe you need an entirely different design of oil filter tool? Some tools attach over the end of the filter housing itself, kind of like a very large spanner socket that fits into your 1/4 or 1/2" socket wrench. They can be great when access is very limited. Believe it or not some car models have custom tools just for oil filter removal because access is so limited. IF you have such a car I'd check the engine bay and see if these would suit you. If they do, I think these ones are actually very capable and good quality wrenches.

Very effective tools, both sizes are supplied. The sharp teeth on each jaw are designed to bite into and grip the metal casing of the oil filter. This inevitably damages the metal. For this reason the grips are intended for disposable metal canister oil filters only. They are more effective than the cheaper fabric loop designs, and better even than the looped chain type of filter removal tool.On the other hand - and for the same reasons - they are not recommended for use as a tightening tool for the replacement filter unit.The only limitation in their use is the availability of space around the filter housing.

Du bekommst 2 gute Ölfilterzangen. Ich habe mir diese für mein Motorrad geholt. Habe damit schon einen Ölfilter gewechselt und es hat super geklappt. Ich bin zufrieden.

A very nice set for extremely stubborn oil filters. The clamps themselves actually came slightly oily - not sure if they have been used or if that was just protection after manufacturing.
