Cold Steel hat hier zum ersten Mal die Sicherheit mit der Verriegelung angewendet so gut ich weiß. Danach haben sie dann etlichen Messern ebenfalls nachgemacht ob jetzt das euer Buch oder sich sich andere es ist einfach ein absolut sicheres Messer schneidfest sowieso genauso wie in Sachen Sicherheit Schnelligkeit und Festigkeit. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

To say that this knife is the worst knife I've owned, would be an insult to all the other knives that have has some redeeming value, despite the one star. This is, by far the absolute epidemy of a bad knife. First, the knife is billed (sold) under the pretense of being sharp. Videos even show an owner 'shaving' his arm. Not going to happen with this one. It wasn't exactly dull, but I will get to that soon., Second? The double lock failed to work and/or engage. Tightening or loosening the screws didn't help. I ended up taking the knife apart and noticed that the catch pin was, in a word, defective (meaning it was broken). Just how it ended up that way will remain one of the greatest mysteries of the knife industry. Trying to close the knife was when I found out, as did my doctor, just how sharp it was. Good news? It was a clean cut and just needed a band-aid to fix. Not so the knife. Working the latch? It failed to lock and the blade ended up extremely loose with the leaf spring lock failing to secure the blade open. Initial impression here? Could have been dangerous to even an experienced handler. Bottom line, for me? It isn't even worth the time, energy, or efforts to attempt a return. Knowing that they may just fix it, slip it in a repackage, and doop someone else into buying it. I had great respect for Cold Steel, up until now. Maybe their high-end knives are better made and quality controlled. It will be a while before I venture down the path of getting another Cold Steel. They will have to go some distance and earn my respect before I do that.

The Crawford 1 is a collaboration between knife designer Wes Crawford and Cold Steel, that based off of a Crawford designed knife and made at a very affordable version. I love this knife, how it feels in my hand, flips open with easy, the blade holds it sharpness, like the snugness with the pocket clip, have several of these and they make the perfect gift. Like both color options, green with black or black, you can't go wrong.

Hervorragendes Messer. Mir hat vor allem gefahren dass ich neben der Option dass Messer als Flipper zu öffnen auch einen "Wave Opener" bekomme. Sobald ich also das Messer aus meiner Hosentasche ziehe ist es einsatzbereit. Das Messer kommt bereits gut geschärft, ich habe jedoch etwas nachgeschärft. Alles in allem volle Kaufempfehlung.

I've had this knife for a few months now and I still love it.Delivery was good time. Nice small package. No damage.Was sharp enough to slice paper easily right out of the box. Easy to sharpen. Holds a decent edge.I've been used to carrying a folding knife with the thumb stud and wasn't sure how the opening system would work, but I was amazed at how smooth it was! So easy and clean to just flick it open. Very good functionality.The only problem was that the pocket clip was a little bit tight, but that's better than too loose. I just stuck I tiny wedge under it for some time, and now I can slide it easily enough off and on my pocket.I use the knife primarily for opening boxes at my work place and other random tasks that could use a sharp blade. Don't know how well it can take a hard beating, but very good for every day use.Definitely recommend this product! Good job, Cold Steel!

Blade holds an edge nicely (I’m not easy on knives), the grip feels good in the hand and the lock functions great.I only wish it was assisted open. It opens pretty good, but I like a nice spring action.Other than that, I really don’t have anything to say. It’s my first Cold Steel knife l, but I really like it. I’m coming from a Kershaw blade. The first one I had I loved, but I lost it and replaced it with the same kind (again I loved it) and the blade was far less good. Wouldn’t stay sharp. This was about 3-4 years later so maybe they aren’t made as good.Moving to this Cold Steel it has held up well. The blade was pretty sharp out of the box. I honed it just a bit and then stropped it and it’s been good for about 5 weeks. It’s just now needing to be sharpened up.The lock feature is nice, it’s my first one, I’m of the kind that if you’re worried a blade might force closed on you then you need a different tool. So I honestly forget about it a lot. Used it twice just messing around testing it and I feel like you would have to catastrophically break the knife to make the lock break.

I have a number of knives from Benchmade, Cold Steel, Gerber, Henry, Kershaw, Puma, and SOG. With few exceptions, Cold Steel knives are made in Taiwan. I'm impressed with their innovative design, quality production and reasonable prices.The Crawford Model 1 is well made and is more comfortable with the clip removed. The flipper mechanism is similar to that found on knives from Kershaw and SOG. A fair amount of force is needed to open it, but I'm hoping it will be easier after oiling it.A slide mechanism to keep the knife open seemed like an after thought. It was difficult to open and didn't seem to provide much value.To me, the knife's advantages make this a good value and great every day carry.
