Due to the maximum dimensions that airlines allow for per travel in the cabin, I had to stuff my bird in this tiny crate. I have a green cheek conure and this crate is perfect for small birds but nothing bigger.I had a really hard time removing the protective layer of plastic on the kennel. It took me a little less than an hour to remove all plastic. Birds are animals of prey so I made my own cover to go over the kennel, to reduce his stress levels. Birds don’t want to be exposed at every angle so the creator would do best to make the transparant areas a couple of shades darker.My bird kept climbing on the mesh of the kennel instead of sitting on the wooden perch. He kept falling of the perch. I advise the creator to use a cotton perch instead so that birds can have a firmer grip on the perch.

This is an awesome carrier however I had to install a USB powered computer fan in the back in order to be comfortable taking my caique out when it is sunny at all. With that the inside gets good circulation and she loves going on walks around the city in it.

Just got this for my green cheek conure. The small one is the perfect size for her and I really love the design that allows her to see what's going on. Based on other reviews this has gotten, if the plastic looks scratched up or scuffed when you first get it, or if it looks cloudy instead of clear, make sure you remove the film covering on the inside and outside of it. The only complaint I really have about this is that the film is actually a bit of a pain to remove, and nearly impossible to remove cleanly. The carrier is constructing with the film in place so it's underneath the sewn on pieces and the metal pieces and it doesn't really tear cleanly. Getting all the little film bits off to make it pretty was a bit time consuming and I used an exacto knife to help (though I did this very carefully so as not to scratch up or cut the plastic underneath). Despite the film being a pain, still giving this 5 stars due to the product itself actually being very well constructed and exactly what I needed. I would like to also mention that the shoulder strap did have an odd chemical smell on it, but the carrier itself did not, so I feel it is safe for my feathered companion.
