Even if I returned the product unused it made it for a good solid impression at a first glance.Tentatively need it for a mini Cooper f56, 1.6l

The cast metal pieces were a little clumsy finished, but still fitted perfectly.With these kits, it’s important to remember if they are machined well, but don’t fit the cams 1000%, it’s probably the stretched chain that’s advanced or retarded the timing a degree or so. Your changing the chain, so lock the crank, fit these and wiggle the allowance or whatever give is in the chain to allow them to fit square and snug.The small bolts that fix the metal stays in place are well made too, can be turned in by hand. I didn’t use a socket to tighten these as I didn’t trust them not to snap, you never know.The crank lock tool is well made too, quite robust.Negatives. Don’t lose the pamphlet that comes with it, mine blew away in the fierce Scottish wind. You’ll spend an hour trying to remember where two pieces fit into the moulded box, it’s a nightmare.The box isn’t made great, very flimsy plastic latches.

It did the job where I replaced the timing chain and head gasket. Good quality tool at a good price.
