Why would you ship a crushable item in a soft envelope when that crushable item won’t rebound to its original shape. Sloppy, lazy, inconsiderate is how I would categorize the company that shipped this hat to me. Tacky, tacky, tacky!

I am 6' 3" with a medium build and a head that is commensurate with my body. The medium size hat fits perfectly and I love the tie. I haven't worn it in strong winds yet but I can easily imagine I'll get choked out before I lose the hat. I got the olive color and it is true to the picture. I feels rugged and I think years from now I will still consider this a great purchase. The tie is tied on a little oddly I think but it doesn't take anything away from the look.

Fits perfectly, and seems well made. I have another DPC hat that has held up well over the years and from the feel of this one, I imagine it will do the same.Cool to wear in the summer. Perfect for gardening or a hike.

New hat was as described. Hat size is 7 1/2 and X-Large is a good fit. I don't know how it will be after wearing it awhile and a few washing. At the beach, the hat brim stay down in the wind though I had to be careful not to lose it because the broad brim does catch the wind. But brim does provide good shaded. The leather draw string doesn't stay down on the hat band but that is a minor complaint. I picked the darker color so it won't show dirt as much, but in a hot inland arid areas, the dark color gets real hot even with the venting so I would suggest a lighter color for there. I just wanted to see if would take some abuse, so I crushed it a couple of times then smacked it and it resumed its shape. But I won't be abusing it by wadding it up and stuff in the bottom of a suitcase for a couple of weeks to see what it does then..., maybe later when it isn't new.
