It's a pretty itemcand the wood is good quality. But it came with dents and deep scratches in the wood. I also only received half the screws I needed so had to provide my own. And the screws provided for the legs were too small so the legs didn't screw into the wood effectively, they were very wobbly. So again I had to use my own screws. Kept the item as I said, it's pretty and I had the screws I needed. If I returned the wood would still turn up dented and scratched because its a soft wood that has been used.

For the price, I feel like a slightly higher storage space would be nicer. Some toddler books are very big and would take up much space on their own, so I feel like it would be a good idea to make them slightly wider and longer. The designs on the outside are very playful. It is easy to put together with high quality parts and secure screws. It could be a little cheaper, but I think you get a level of quality and a strong material worth your money.

This little bookshelf has been such a great addition to my son’s room. It’s low enough for him to reach all his books on his own, which is exactly what I was after with the Montessori-style setup. He’s started picking out bedtime stories by himself now, which I love seeing.The build quality is solid—real wood, not that flimsy stuff you sometimes get with flat-pack furniture—and it actually looks nice in the room. The two adjustable dividers are really handy too. We use one side for books and the other for some of his smaller toys and puzzles.It was easy to assemble (took me about 20 minutes with a cuppa), and it doesn’t wobble or lean like some cheaper units. Perfect size for a toddler or preschooler, and honestly, it’s helped keep the room a lot tidier too!
