Der Taschenrechner funktioniert leider nur bei sehr starkem Licht. Er muss unter einer Lampe liegen damit er zuverlässig arbeitet. Für mich daher unbrauchbar.Habe leider die Rückgabefrist verpasst und reklamieren kann ich ihn anscheinend auch nicht.

This is a fairly straightforward desktop calculator with some extra functions, occupying something of a middle ground between the basic type and something like a scientific calculator. It has dual battery- and solar-power ability, the solar apparently intended as a backup to save battery power (or just when you happen to have a fair amount of sun I suppose), although it's worth noting that the calculator also works without a battery inserted at all. Strangely, the battery compartment is large enough for two batteries but only one of the slots is 'live', presumably a standardised part to keep costs down.On that subject, the brief instruction leaflet received (there was one English and another in German) seems to be intended to cover multiple different calculators, referring to buttons and functions that this one does not in fact have, such as for example an OFF button; personally I always find it annoying when I have to wait for something to just turn itself off by timing out, can't imagine it does battery life much good but I suppose that's what the solar backup is for. As far as functions do go, the instructions are not overly clear and the device itself is not hugely intuitive in use for anything other than basic calculations; as noted elsewhere, a few useful things seem to have been omitted although this one is apparently geared towards tax calculations so is somewhat specialised rather than general.Overall, given the amount this calculator costs it seems overpriced: the lack of clear instruction means you'll need to play around with it and work things out by trial and error which could be frustrating. There are certainly cheaper calculators out there which would do the basics just as well and likely take up less space too. If you need to do your taxes though, and are willing to persevere, this may end up saving you more than the asking price in the long run.

I don’t need a calculator often, but every now and then it does come in handy. Since my last one broke I resorted to old-school pen and paper for those sums that were beyond my mental capability. Sometimes though you just want to add a load of numbers up quickly, and that is where a calculator comes in handy.Yes, I know I have one on my phone. Yes, I also have one on my ipad. However, by the time I’ve picked up either, unlocked it, scrolled to the app, opened that and started typing in my numbers, with a calculator on my desk I’d have already done what I needed to in that space of time. I also just like having a calculator, there’s something very pleasing about them.This one is fine. It does the job. The buttons are a little clunky and it does feel a little cheaper than some others I’ve had in the past by brand names we all know, however it’s a fine.If it hadn’t been on Vine for me to review, I’m not sure I’d have paid £18.99 for it as I don’t need all the functionality it gives, however, I’m guessing if you want and would use all the functions on offer then it’s pretty good price, and it’s not really that much more than other more basic calculators I’ve had in the past.Just because of the clunkiness it loses one star, it doesn’t feel like a top quality piece of kit. But it does the job I need it to do and it is responsive, don’t have to wait for it to slowly come to life or for the numbers to appear.

Its a nice calculator, big buttons but it has one big problem.It can’t calculate percentages. You need to manually divide and the percentage buttons does not work.I do not recommend it.
