You can buy expanding foam in a disposable style can that comes with it own nozzle. The problem with these are that the flow isn't controllable and you almost always use too much and make a big mess.Expanding foam guns eliminate these issues by allowing the foam to be controlled accurately with the knob to your requirements. If you want a really slow flow then this is possible. The long reach nozzle also allows you to get into crevices easily without a cheap flexible tube bending uncontrollably.Once finished with what ever you are filling, the can be de detached and stored for use later. The gun will require cleaning out to prevent the foam from hardening inside the gun but this is easily done by attaching a cleaning can with an acetone based solvent that dissolves the remaining foam and making the gun as good as new.A decent gun (or 2). 4 stars.

These expanding foam guns have proven to be invaluable for my current project. The nossles provided with the spray foam I purchased just aren't long enough for my needs whereas these guns can reach very far and with good accuracy. I feel they are very good value considering you receive two guns. I also really like the purple colour as it makes the guns easy to distinguish amongst my other tools.
