I ordered this Godox MS300 300W Compact Studio Strobe Flash Light to use in my home studio.I've slowly been replacing my older studio monolight strobes with newer models that accept Bowens mount accessories. I don't use my studio that much, and all I really need are basic strobes that work well with wireless triggers and can be set as slave units as well.Godox makes nice gear at very competitive prices, but they also have some quirks. This strobe is an example. There are actually several different versions of this strobe. I know this because I purchased one of these about 6 months ago, and it shows as "no longer available." However, I see absolutely no difference between the MS300 I bought 6 months ago and this MS300. There is a newer version that uses an LED instead of an incandescent modeling light, but all other specs appear to be identical.I'm using this strobe with a Godox XPro trigger on a Fuji GFX100s. A second MS300 is set up as a slave and fires when it senses the flash. This strobe is rated at 300 watt-seconds and I rarely use it at full power. It feels sturdy, the controls work well, and it fits securely on a standard light stand. There are a lot of different trigger systems out there, and some of them are proprietary. If you plan to buy a Godox trigger along with this strobe, great. If you plan to use an existing trigger, you might want to ask other owners if that trigger will work with this strobe. At just over $100, it's hard to beat this Godox strobe.

I bought the Godox MS300 studio flash as a first step up from speedlights to branch out into product and studio photography. The flash is bright, effective and quick to recharge, and includes a handy adjustable modelling lamp. It has a Bowens mount so you can attach almost any type of modifier. Controls are simple, clear and easy to use. It can be triggered by a cable, optically from another flash, or by using one of the Godox remote triggers. I use the X1-T and the whole setup is easy to control and use. If you're considering this flash just be aware it is manual only; it does not support TTL or HSS. However, for the price and as a first step into studio strobes it is excellent and I'm definitely considering buying a second one for my small studio.

Product as described, very good value for money. Works perfectly fine with the radio trigger, flash is good for portraiture shots and stills. White balance and recharging times are ok, no misfires yet.Modelling light bulb came broken, however the seller shipped a new one in no time, when notified. Positive experience of the product, as well as seller's customer support.

Lightweight, easy to handle. Fits Godox system well up to medium studio size. Color gel work well.
