Nice large size. Ideal for catching oil splatter. Not sure on the heat/fire resistance. Nice and easy to clean. Good value for money.

Das Ding ist vollkommener Schrott! Es mag Fett abweisend sein und wasserfest, okay! Aber das war’s dann auch schon. Es ist hauchdünn und jedes kleinste Lüftchen schlägt sofort alle den Wind zu geneigten Flächen um. Dann muss man aufpassen, dass man nicht stolpert und auf die Fresse fliegt. Das ist auch der Grund, warum es keinen Sinn macht, die Ecken mit irgendetwas zu beschweren. Stolper… Plumps, boing Blut an der Fresse. Des Weiteren ist dieses Teil ein wahrer Dreck.-M agnet. Du trittst drauf und hast einen Tabber nach dem nächsten. Bei mir kommt das Teil in die Werkstatt und dort verwende ich es wenn ich von meinen Fahrrädern die Antriebe sauber mache. Da kann dann direkt der Kettenschmodder drauf tropfen. Ansonsten ist das Teil zu nichts zu gebrauchen!

Gave this to our son who loves camping. He prefers to explore quiet out of the ways places, away from the stress of work. He always lights a fire and enjoys cooking on it as well. SO this was ideal for him.The first time he used it he was impressed and having used it several times now it has become an essential piece of his camping equipment. He says it is brilliant - so we are happy too.

This is described as being a fireproof mat for indoors or outdoors use. It measures 180x100cm and is rectangular in shape.The first thought I had when unpacking it was it’s very thin, quite light in weight and there is nothing to hold it down.Outside, in a wind then the sides would lift and possibly fold over. It would benefit from having tent type pegs to hold down the corners and for that it could do with metal ring holes to prevent the pegs going through the fabric.It is easy to clean, just needing wiping down after use. But functionally it doesn’t stop heat going through it.We tried it under a garden chimera, sat on grass, and after use the area underneath it did show signs of scorch marks.On a concrete base or slabs I would imagine it would do its job but whether I would trust it on decking is open to question.The odd spills from a BBQ probably wouldn’t affect it and would save time and effort when clearing up after use.
