This has been a fun science-type project for the kids. It's neat to see the sprouts grow, and I really like that no dirt is required. It works, and the sprouts are edible. Best to eat them in a timely fashion in my experience rather than let them hang out too long in the jar once they're ready. The concept is simple and quality is good.

This is a good set of sprout growers and a great size to feed more than a couple people. I appreciate that it comes with covers for both of the containers along with the stand and a place for water to drain and has more or less everything you need. It would be really nice though if it came with some detailed instructions on best steps for success. There are obviously a lot of factors involved but some basics on what you should do would be very helpful. We did not have success with our first two tries because we put too many seeds in them but after finding the correct ratio it worked well after that. If you know what you're doing you'll probably do fine with these but if not you'll need to research and make sure this works for you in your scenario and your location where you plan to keep the containers.

I have been sprouting and eating alfalfa seeds for many years. I would use a quart mason jar in order to sprout the seeds. This would only last me 2 or 3 days.With these huge jars I can sprout a whole week's worth of sprouts in 4 days and I can eat as much as I want without worrying about running out quickly.I like that they come with the metal draining top, as well as a metal framework to set them on and a plastic tray to catch the excess water.They work great. I put four teaspoons of alfalfa seeds in one of the jars, filled the jar with water and let it sit for 8 hours. I then emptied the water from the jar and turned it upside down on the frame to drain. I rinsed the seeds everyday for 4 days and watched the alfalfa grow grow!.My alfalfa sprouts taste so good, they are fresh and crisp. I use them on sandwiches and salads. And the best part is they are very good for me!I like how the jars come with a cover to use to store the alfalfa sprouts in the refrigerator.
