Absolut keine Empfehlung!!!

I purchased and installed this HiKiNS Reverse Osmosis Membrane 100GPD on an iSpring RCC7P which includes a booster pump. It fitted the system perfectly well and was easy to install. I ordered the 100 GPD, replacing a 75 GPD membrane. For what I read and researched, the main difference between the two is that the 75 GPD has a higher rejection rate, meaning it’s slightly more efficient than the 100 GPD. However, this efficiency is dependent on the incoming water pressure, which is why, especially with well water, a booster pump is highly recommended.I installed the iSpring RO system less than a year ago and had replaced all its filters once about seven months later. About a month ago, there was a change in water taste as well as getting some weird smell; water was crystal clear though. I still had a set of filters, so I decided to replace them. When I removed the 3rd stage carbon filter, I found the upper rubber seal was pinched at one corner, letting small amount of unfiltered water get through directly to the membrane.I didn’t have a replacement membrane at the time and it took three days to receive it from Amazon. By that time, since I had replaced all other filters, the taste of the water had improved tremendously, and the smell was all but gone, but I was still concerned about the condition of the membrane. When the new membrane arrived, I immediately removed the old one and noticed its surface was completely black, probably due to the pinch rubber seal from the 3rd stage filter. Anyway, I installed this HiKiNS Reverse Osmosis Membrane 100GPD and drain the system as per system instructions. There was a huge difference in water flow and water taste great. The system does have a 3-Layer Alkaline Water Filter and it does make a difference on taste, but if the membrane is not in in great condition, water will taste just like regular tap water.Someone here on Amazon mentioned about using a PPM (Parts Per Million) kit to check for Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). I did a little research and although a PPM kit may provide a good baseline, the number may also indicate PPM of minerals like calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. A better drinking water testing kit would be one that can test for plastic, bacteria, lead, pesticides, nitrates/nitrites, and chlorine. One of the water testing kit recommended is First Alert WT1 Drinking Water Test Kit, which sells here at Amazon for $9.99. I ordered one but have yet to receive it. I will post my results here once I get it.9/6/18: Received the First Alert WT1 Drinking Water Test Kit, tested my RO and here are my results; no bacteria, no chlorine, no lead or pesticides, 0-nitrate, PH-8.0, Hardness-120 PPM. Now, I’m using an iSpring Alkaline Water Filter Mineral Stone, Calcite, and Corosex at last stage of the RO that is supposed to add minerals such as ionized calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium ions. So perhaps it's the reason why the total hardness is not lower than 120. But in general, I like the results.01/11/2020: Because of still great water quality coming out from RO faucet, I failed to replace all filters since my last review update on 9/6/18...that's more than a year ago, which is not recommended. However, although the water pressure was obviously declining, the water was still cristal clear with no after taste. This tells me that this membrane works as good as described. I replaced all the filters yesterday, including the membrane and there was an increase in water pressure, as well as better water taste since I also replaced the alkaline filter. So, I still gives this membrane a five star rating and I recommend it.
