Test fountain pens before regular useThe Hobonichi Techo's Tomoe River / Tomoe River S paper is designed to prevent bleed-through, but some fountain pens and water-based ink pens are not compatible with this paper. When switching to a new pen, we recommend testing the pen somewhere in the book, such as the back memo pages, to see if the ink bleeds through or takes an especially long time to dry.

Ich benutze den Hobonichi Cousin bzw. Avec seit 2022. Und ja, ich weiß, das letztes Jahr auf ein anderes Papier umgestellt wurde. Aber die Qualität dieses Jahr ist so unterirdisch, dass mir der Atem wegbleibt. Wer mit Füller und Tinte schreibt wird hier unter Umständen böse Überraschungen erleben – Tinten, die zuvor völlig ok funktioniert haben drücken auf einmal auf die Rückseite durch ("bleeding", nicht nur "ghosting"!). Schlimmer noch: viele Tinten fransen auf einmal aus ("feathering")!Wer sich also einen gut kurierten Tintenvorrat angeschafft hat weil man in den Vorjahren sorgfältig getestet und geprüft hat steht jetzt dumm da. Und da geht's nicht mal nur um exotische Tinten. Sogar bekannte und sehr gebräuchliche Tinten wie Platinum Carbon Black oder Sailor Yamabudo leiden unter "feathering" und sind somit so unansehnlich, dass man sie nicht verwenden kann. Dumm, wer sich zu Weihnachten gerade neue Tintengläser dieser Marken angeschafft hat.Keine Ahnung, was sich Hobonichi hier gedacht hat. Soweit ich online gesehen habe wird immer nur runtergebetet, dass das Papier angeblich allen Standards entspricht. Sorry. Wenn das ein "Standard" ist, dann ist dieses Jahr das letzte Jahr, in dem ich diesen Planner verwende (und auch da nur, weil er so teuer war und ich mir keinen anderen kaufen möchte).

Received in perfect condition. I feel as though the price is worth it. If you were to order straight from the site it would be £21 shipping and the cousin is around £30 so I paid the same price and got it much sooner.The paper is very interesting, you can see through it but there is no bleed through (I use muji pens and mildliners). I recommend doing pen tests at the back of the hobonichi first.I use it for tracking habits, work day, personal things and really anything. I have found a lot of use for it and have even bought a hobonichi weeks to use as a reading journal.I have a clear case on mine too. Overall, very very pleased and will continue to use.

Sehr zufrieden mit dem Kalender. Bestellung kam schnell und heil an. Das Papier ist dünn und durchscheinend, aber das ist der Sinn darin.Würde ich im nächsten Jahr nochmal kaufen.

The overall layout and construction is great but the paper is bad, it bleeds through on most fountain pen inks and feathers even with a low amount of ink. The paper is also incredibly inconsistent with some pages bleeding only a bit and barely feathering and others bleeding so much that they are basically unusable.In previous years the paper was very high quality and did not have any of these problems but now it performs worse than a 4 euro Clairefontaine Notebook.

La agenda esta bien en cuanto a estructura y organización, pero lo mejor es el papel, puedes usar rotuladores, bolígrafo, tinta y no traspasa el papel. El único pero es que es un poco caro.

Perfect planner for those who love paper planners. Of course, it is heavier than some smaller planners and does not contain too many extra pages for scribbling (only 4), but it is a planner and not a notebook. Suitable also for fountain pen lovers!
