Firstly, not for three people. Only two plates and two (very small) cups were included. Plus, only one set of cutlery comes with the set. The carry bag is pretty thin and I would say isn’t going to last. Additionally, once I’d decanted all the parts, I then tried to put everything back together again. Perhaps it’s my aging brain but I couldn’t get it to pack neatly away again.That aside, the kit contains lots of useful parts, the cooking pots and pans seem well made, I like the unusual handle arrangements which worked well. The cups are small, but I liked the little insulation holders, which do the job protecting your hands from hot liquid. The plates are small, but reflect how much you can cook in the main pans. The kettle arrangement was fine. As was the heat/windshield, although a bit flimsy.As mentioned the carry bag is a bit thin, and a carabiner clip is included to help with carrying. I think the overall weight of the kit is quite heavy and I wouldn’t like to be carrying it all day considering how much other kit you might carry on a hike.The pans have a non-stick quality about them, but I’d recommend silicone based cooking utensils which are not included so as not to scratch the surfaces. The foldable knife, spoon and fork should have a companion set to make this more complete for a couple of campers.If you accept some of the limitations, and know you’ll need some extra parts, it’s fine as the base starter pack. The build quality is good with no obvious marks or shabbiness in its construction.

The title for this listing says it's a set for 2-3 people but the images say it's for 1-2. The latter is more realistic. The main cooking pot and frying pan are a good size and the kettle will boil enough water for tea for two. One of the images shows two large pots in addition to the shallow pan and kettle. For clarity there is only one large pot included. All of the vessels feel quite durable and well put together.There are two cups and two plates, so suggesting this set is suitable for three people is a stretch. The plates are quite small but just about usable. The cups on the other hand are tiny, more like oversized thimbles (the photoshopped image of somebody holding one in their hand is misleading to say the least). The foldable cutlery is fine but you only get one set, so in that respect this set only caters for one person. The concertinaed windshield is of a pretty basic construction but should be effective if you have a small stove that would benefit from it.Everything packs down fairly compactly although by no means as neatly as a Trangia set. You can't get the lid to sit on the pot with the plates inside but the drawstring mesh bag will hold everything together. The cups come with removable silicone insulated grips. You'll have to remove at least one of them to get the cups to nest so that they will fit in the kettle.This set is quite comprehensive (you even get a sponge scourer for cleaning). If there were two sets of cutlery it could be a decent set for two people, aside from the undersized cups. It might be a bit heavier and bulkier than necessary for a solo camper but you can always leave pieces at home. I wouldn't bother with the cups, get some larger collapsible silicone mugs instead.In summary: good for the price but not perfect.

There are a lot of camping mess kits around and it's nice to find one that is a bit above average.Includes a draught guard for your stove, which is a big plus point if u don't have one already.LikesStainless plates and cutlery are nice in the handCutlery that actually cuts thingsHeat protectors for the metal cups, essential additionAmple cooking utensils for a 2 ingredient meal.Attention to details, even includes a scouring pad!Packs away neatly.Coloured handles. Easier to avoid burning them.DislikesUsual dubious non stick surfaces which are easy to scratch. It doesn't include a plastic or wooded spoon.Kettle lid handles a bit flimsyOther than that I'd happily camp with this set allowing for the fact that parts may not last the season, but are easily replaced.

This camping cookware set from HOMGEN is a well-designed and practical bit of kit. It’s compact and lightweight enough to carry in a rucksack and includes most of the essentials for cooking outdoors for one or two people. The pots and pans feel solid, heat up quickly and clean easily, and everything nests neatly into the larger pot with a mesh bag to keep it all together. The main pot is a decent size for meals like pasta or stew, and the frying pan handled a basic breakfast without issue. The kettle boils enough water for two small drinks and includes a clever nesting system for the cups, though I had to remove one of the silicone sleeves to get it to fit properly. The plates and cups are on the smaller side, but just about do the job. The silicone grips on the cups are a nice touch for handling hot liquids.There is only one set of foldable cutlery included, so anyone sharing the set will need to bring their own, which feels like a missed opportunity for something marketed as a set for two or more. The carry bag also feels a bit flimsy and probably won’t stand up to much wear and tear over time. Fitting everything back into the pot can be a bit of a puzzle, but it does all go in with some careful arranging. Despite a few minor downsides like the undersized cups and limited cutlery, this is a good quality starter set with a lot to like. It feels sturdy, packs down well and covers all the main cooking needs for a short camping trip. With a few small additions, it could easily become a go-to kit for regular use.
