As an owner of an older tv with a notably weakening stand it seems as though there was a very real chance of it snapping due to a lean that it had which understandably meant that it was an accident waiting to happen and so I acquired these which are relatively simple and thankfully easy to set up on whatever you are trying to avoid tipping over though as someone new to them I will admit its easy to be a little paranoid about their strength (I do note they mention not using them with overly large tv's though for obvious weight reasons). Given that I set them up in a way that stops my TV from leaning I can only imagine they are doing their intended job too no one will be knocking it onto the floor anytime soon so might be worth trying though they are understandably a little hard to test the limits of.

Very easy to fit, just clean the surface and stick, the bond feels very secure and not likely to pull away and render them pointless, this is a good way to secure your TV without needing to drill. does exactly what was required.

As it is, this product does work. It does not need any holes drilling on the tv nor mounting surface. For most people, this is a good thing as it also makes it easy to install by anyone. It is not expensive what what it is as safety products like this can be priced higher for the fear factor.I think the kit can be improved a bit by allowing an alternate mounting for those who are just seeking something a little more secure. Perhaps the VESA mounts at the back of the tv can be utilised in some way as these seem to be a standard for mounting the tv on a wall bracket.The other thought is that once the straps are installed then this does protect the tv from falling towards you but it can still be pushed back. This would depend on the weight of the tv as to how easy this would be and the design of the stand as most seem to have factored this in mind.What may be a better solution would be to be able to fix the stand to the surface so that it wont be able to move without some degree of force. A velcro system perhaps, similar to those picture handing strips but bigger?

This is a great product for our use. We have a small 23" monitor on a slim desk shelf. We want to avoid it falling due to a gentle knock (or similar) as someone walks past it. In this set of circumstances these adhesive straps are fine. I've actually stuck them to the vertical back-side of the desk so they're a bit more discrete.It is worth remembering that when you've stuck them to the back of your monitor and tightened them, you won't be able to swivel your monitor, so get it aligned first, then tighten.However, if you've got a large monitor and unruly children/pets who might be exerting more force, then I'm not sure how much pressure the adhesive will hold up to. I feel that these straps are far more designed for an accidental knock rather than preventing the falling of heavy items by more deliberate actions. I certainly wouldn't be using them to protect children from falling heavy furniture.
