the boy is under 3 years old, soon as he saw the bed he fell in love with it, so cosmetically it looks great,prob is its made of mdf, and tbh, the second he stood on it.. as children will dothe image shows it literally just broke.we are no having to spend extra money to put a sheet of material over the top of the slats to protect any further breakages

I was a little apprehensive about buying this bed for my son as it was a bit pricey. However let me say now it is definitely worth the money. The bed is a very good size and will last him a while as he’s only 2 years old. My dad and I set it up in less than an hour.Would overall recommend this bed to anyone unsure about it. It looks much better than the picture too.

Very easy to assemble. Every part has a number so easy to find and fix. Very shiny, looks georgous. Very pleased with the purchase

Firstly I would like to say this is the first time I’ve ever left a review for anything. This bed and bed set is that bad I feel I have to leave a review.To start the bedding set arrived first, a week before the actual bed. Gave it its first wash and that was it ruined, colours run, black faded with a kind is grey marble affect, considering this is 3 times more expensive than normal kids themed bedding the quality is absolutely terrible.. Emailed Julian Bowen and fair enough the woman was helpful and I Beleive I have a new set of bedding on the way. Just for the record it’s stated on the tag to wash on a 40 wash, my wife did exactly that. After this incident I wasn’t holding out much hope for the bed....So the bed arrived yesterday, my little boy so excited his car bed had finally arrived, started unpackaging it and it is a similar condition to the duvet set. The build quality of this is good, don’t get me wrong. Seems solid and strong enough for a kids first bed, but the finishing is terrible. Over spray on every single panel, blacks going into the red etc, it’s obviously been wiped and left streak marks then been sprayed over the top with a clear gloss so it cannot be removed now, there’s chips in the wood in 7 of the panels. There are far cheaper beds on the market than this but I thought I would buy a more expensive one for better quality. I couldn’t of been more wrong.I have 13 photos of damage or poor finishing on my phone from this bed. I will never be buying anything Julian Bowen again, I see there customer service won an award in 2016, it would have to be if the quality of workmanship is always like what I’ve received.

All children should have one of these. Good quality easy to assemble. Fun, and very shiny. Imagination can go where it wants to in this. No parts missing, we assembled in about and hour and a half with 2 people and I'm rubbish at flat packs. Amazing surprise for my 4 year old. It has natural cot sides on which keep mums happy for children who tend to wriggle about in their sleep. No complaints, can't improve it at all. Quick delivery. Good price for good quality bed. I recommend you buy a good quality mattress like memory foam, It single bed size so should last a long time.
