This is a cat repellent spray that is supposed to deter cats from scratching furniture and urinating on things. I don't have any cats currently but we sometimes get feral cats in the back yard stalking my bird feeders. It says this is supposed to work outside as well as inside (safe on furniture) so I'm going to give it a try and spray it around the fence and bird feeder poles.

I got this stuff to deter my new kittens from biting my houseplants. When you first spray it it smells extremely strongly of pine (kind of like a cleaning product), and the smell fills up the whole room and lasts for an hour or so. After about an hour it dissipates, and at that point the smell just lingers on the surface where you actually sprayed it. On the plus side, spraying this on my plants didn't seem to damage the plants too much, and it did repel the cats at first. However, after a couple of hours they were right back to biting the leaves again, spray or no spray.I think this could work well if you only have a couple of specific small areas that you want to spray it, and you're willing to re-spray very frequently. However, for larger areas this is likely not the best solution, as you will have to constantly reapply (and make your whole house smell) in order for it to be effective.

I was excited to try and review the, "Cat Deterrent Spray - 100% Natural Cat Repellent Spray for Urine Marking & Scratching - Eco Friendly, Safe to Use Around Children and Pets, Safe for Use on Furniture and Fabric, Works Indoor & Outdoor." After reading the instructions, it's straightforward on how to use it for successful results and it delivers! I love that it's a natural product, made in the USA and that is reasonably priced as a multi-cat household, feral colony hanging around your door or an indoor rescue organization will definitely need to keep this on hand preferably in the gallon size! Day 4 and no scratching couch. This stuff really works. It has a lemon smell. I spray once a day. The spray pump leaks and sometimes does not work. I spray sides of couch near back so cat does not even go behind the couch. Love it, love it.
