I'm actually very happy with the style of this product and think it looks excellent in my living room but there is one issue I have with it.The protection from sparks - if offers great coverage from sparks which fly out horizontally but there's a gap at the top that does allow the odd spark to fly out from this area.I have taken a picture from above showing this gap, the side sections line up very well with my fireplace edges and prevent any from escaping but above you'll notice a clear gap.Apart from that it's a decent looking cover, the mesh allows heat to come through nicely and the overall look and design is spot on. The side panels can be adjusted to fit pretty much all fires and it sits up in position well, it feels sturdy and very well made.I'm knocking one star off due to the open top area.

I recently added the Kingson Black Fireplace Guard to our living room after our curious toddler started getting too close to the wood burner. It's a solid piece of kit at 96.5x61cm, creating a safe boundary between the flames and little fingers (and paws—our dog’s as curious as our child). The black finish is sleek and fits in well with the modern décor, so no complaints there.What impressed me most is how sturdy it feels—no wobbling or tipping over, even when the dog gets too excited. It's the sort of product you can forget about once it's in place, which is exactly what I needed. While it’s not the most compact thing when moving it around (it’s a bit bulky), it’s more than worth it for the peace of mind it brings.It’s ready to go right out of the box, no assembly required—just pop it in front of the fire, and you’re good to go. A small gripe is that the edges are a little sharp, but it’s a minor issue compared to the safety it provides. Overall, this is a brilliant replacement to some of the flimsy guards I’ve had before.

This arrived today and has already saved more than one spark as the fire has some resiny wood resulting in some mini-fireworks, Having the fireguard protection means we can have the doors open which is what our fire was designed for. It is easy to use, and closes very flat so it can be tucked tidily away if not needed but simple and very quick to open up an place in front of fire to protect from fliying sparks - and stop dog getting too close. The plain black looks good and it is definitly fit for purpose. Very happy with this guard.

This fireguard came nicely packed in a box and was wrapped in plastic with tissue paper protecting the folded wings from scratching the front face. It has an overall height of 97 cm so fits our open fire nicely with the centre section being 50 cm wide and each of the two foldable wings being 24 cm in depth. It is nicely finished and sturdy yet lightweight and has a fairly tight diamond shaped mesh so should prevent any embers from penetrating the room.Overall I am very pleased with it as it looks good surrounding our fireplace, and I think it is not badly priced.
