I liked the fitment of the filter but needed more specific instructions.Almost returned it until I realized I was attempting to install it upside down.

I use K&N air filters in all of my toys. Its built to last! Please don't forget the oil spray it VERY important! Want to know why? follow along shall we....First off, if you don't oil your filters after you clean them, it will not properly catch the smaller particles. If it doesn't catch the smaller particles your cylinder's will get scratched up inside, when your cylinder's get scratched up inside your engine starts to smoke! Don't let your engine smoke! bad things happen I know this from experience :(The racing version is really bad as it lets in too many little particles so use it only for the race track not for a daily driver as there is usually more dust on the streets then on the track!I have an after market pipe and it does make a difference making the engine breath easier.I was able to change this air filter with my bikes tool kit so its pretty easy just a lot of Philip screws!Oh also if you have a 2013 GSXR 1000 like I do it doesn't come with a gas tank stand tool like our old bikes did, so make sure you have something to prop up the gas tank with!I use oxyclean and warm water to clean my filters and then air dry it. I find it to bubble out the little tiny stuff that gets caught way down into the cracks!Don't forget to oil your filter or the next buy is an engine :(Thanks! Ride Safe!
