Mettere in conto altre spese.

Tres bon produit, solide et bien pensé, je mets un bémol au poignées qui ne sont pas agréables a tenir. il faudrait changer la texture. sinon il permet vraiment de nombreux types de prises.

Firstly, the pull up bar itself seems fairly stable and should hold. However, I have not been able to use it, and I am a little bit cross about it.So. Although I’m a practical sort of bloke, and am what I would describe as a very capable DIY, I’m not overly fond of drilling into masonry/plugs etc. Mainly because they are messy and one is relying on the strength of the surface you are drilling in to.Back to the pull up bar.Having assembled the bar, I followed the instructions, planned out exactly where the holes needed to be drilled and aligned the placement so that every single plug would be in a suitable place with the integrity to hold firmly and do it’s job. The plugs provided were nice sturdy ones and they certainly gave the impression that they would be sufficient.Next, with a brand new masonry bit, the holes were drilled the correct size and depth for the plugs provided, which were duly inserted and tapped home. I should say that at this point, everything was 100% spot on and every single one was in the correct location and looking textbook! Using the large screw provided, I began to attach the pull up bar to the wall. I inserted all of the screws to ensure that they all aligned correctly which they did. I tightened each of them gradually to ensure that the unit remained straight and was not strained at all.Everything was looking great. Then, as I got closer to tightening the screws down fully, it became obvious that the screws provided were too long for the job! Before the flange of the screw sinches down on the washer, the screw bottoms out in the plug/hole and will strip. I didn’t notice immediately what was causing the issue and thought that it was simply the screw getting tighter as is was deeper, but no. They bottomed out stripping the plugs.Having realised the issue, I removed all of the screws and held it all up, the screws when placed through the pull up bar and washer, are significantly longer than the plugs, meaning that you must drill the hole for the plugs significantly deeper than the actual length of the plug in order to use them. As you probably know; once a plug is pulled out, it’s never the same again. So, even though the holes were a little deeper than the length of the plugs, they were not deep enough for the 1”+ of surplus screw that would be poking past the end of the plug inside the hole adding no additional strength whatsoever. So, using a grinder, I chopped off the surplus length of the screws and tried again. Most of them worked and held ok, but plenty were not strong enough. Before I realised that the screws were simply miles too long, I had inadvertently damaged the plugs to the point that they were no longer able to do their job. It’s a bit of a mess to be honest. I ended up using other plugs/screws I had in the shed to get it to work, but I’m not very impressed. Having taken the time to measure, plan and get th correct tools for the job, I wanted this to be something I could confidently place my weight on, but it isn’t. It isn’t as secure as I’d like because not all of the fixing points are fully engaged. Sorry for the rant; but this entire situation was caused by the improper screws being provided with the unit.If you drill an extra inch, you should be ok. But if you are going into brick rather than block, and you do not want to go out through the brick into a cavity (not advised) you should chop off the excess first. Or find different screws, or use longer plugs with deeper holes. It would not be difficult for the manufacturers to measure the thickness of the product, length of the plugs they provide, and to provide the correct screws, but it appears to be a select of anchor screws that are generic for holding something to a wall that is significantly thicker than the pull up bar mounting, resulting in the issue I’ve described.

Gute Verarbeitung. Die Befestigung für den Boxsack kratzt aber etwas von der Farbe der Stange, an der er befestigt ist, ab.
