Ich möchte dieses Jahr lernen Obst und Gemüse in Einmachgläsern zu konservieren, daher habe ich mich sehr gefreut, dass ich dieses Set ausprobieren darf.Positiv finde ich, dass das Set so umfangreich ist. Die Farbe ist mir zwar etwas zu grell, aber im Prinzip finde ich die grüne Beschichtung in Ordnung. Nur leider hatte eben diese Beschichtung an diversen Stellen bereits Fehler, wie Kratzer und Einschnitte etc. Ich vermute daher, dass die Beschichtung wohl nicht allzu lange halten bzw. gut aussehen wird. Auch Frage ich mich wie diese Beschichtung auf kochendes Wasser reagiert, evtl. entstehen dabei sogar gesundheitsschädliche Dämpfe. Die Plastikteile sind leider auch sehr einfach und ebenso in meinen Augen nicht unbedenklich für Lebensmittel. Sie haben auch überall scharfkantige Grate.Ich finde den Preis von aktuell 13,99€ zwar angemessen für das Set, aber ich würde das Set nur für Einsteiger weiterempfehlen, die das Ganze vielleicht nicht in großem Stil betreiben wollen. Denn ich denke nicht, dass dieses Set sehr hochwertig ist. Ich würde außerdem aus gesundheitlichen und hygienischen Gründen einen Trichter aus Edelstahl bevorzugen. Aber zum ausprobieren oder für wenige Gläser bzw. nur gelegentlicher Benutzung finde ich es ausreichend und vor allem wer aufs Budget achten muss, wird vermutlich damit zufrieden sein.

Cheap and cheerful but does the job. Looks to be the same quality as the more expensive kits.

All the items were received as shown; however, they were all tossed in the box with no lining or care. They were covered in dust and look very cheaply made. Haven't tried them yet, but I'm sure they will be fine for what I'm using them for.

This is really a nice, complete home canning kit. Definitely great if you're just starting out or if you're missing a few components, this kit at only $21 is well worth getting rather than buying missing parts individually. They're nice quality, sturdy stainless steel dipped nice grippy heat resistant silicone and the other tools are plastic.My only gripe is they show a different funnel in some of the pictures. The 2nd cell in the 2nd picture shows a collapsible space saving wide mouth funnel, so does the 5th picture 3rd cell. All of the other pictures and video are right though. It's not a big deal but it could be a letdown to some if they noticed. The one they send you is still good and will definitely do the job, it's just not collapsible.Home canning is so worth it to do, largely because of rising food prices that are about to rise even more in April, and especially if you have a garden. Soups and homemade chili are so nice to have around on days when you have no time to cook. Homemade jams make thoughtful and well received gifts. So do pickles, I could eat homemade pickles forever. I highly recommend this canning kit!

I ordered this set of canning tools because I have aspirations to do canning this summer. From what I see in the cookbooks I've been reading, this is a complete set of tools and a good one, at that. The tongs, jar opener, and jar lifter are made of stainless steel with silicon sleeves and seem to be very well constructed. I noticed that these tools are perfectly aligned - I find this is unusual in metal wire tongs, so I was quite happy about that. The jar lifter holds a full canning jar quite well and the sleeve protects the jar from scratches. The canning funnel, splint, and magnet are all made with sturdy, rigid plastic. They seem to be quite robust. Further use will tell me whether the jar opener can stand up to sealed jars, but it should (if the jars are closed correctly - the collars don't need to be over-tightened). I'm looking forward to canning this summer.

This product took a long time to arrive , I presume it was made and sent from China . Having said that it contains all the tools needed for home canning .
