A lovely wide brimmed hat in grey which is what I opted for as some colours can be too dark for a sun hat and can make your head too hot. This wide brim stops burning of your face and neck and ideal for hiking. It's not made of a canvas like I thought it would be but more a waterproof material. Very well made and feels a nice quality plus comfortable to wear too. Spot on price point wise of £12.99 as of April 2025

I’ve never managed to find a sun hat that I didn’t hate as soon as I looked in the mirror but this is the best one I’ve found. So far I’ve used it while gardening but it would be equally useful to take abroad for holidays or on (increasingly frequent) sunny days in this country. It has a wider brim than any I’ve tried and has a handy opening in the back for a ponytail. There’s an adjustable strap to keep it anchored on your head and judging by the material is waterproof or at least rainproof. I’d certainly recommend it.

I've tried out numerous hats in various shapes in an attempt to find one that suited me and didn't look funny - and in this hat, I think I've finally found the one! It actually looks nice on!The hat material feels synthetic and waterproof - it's made of nylon, so while it doesn't feel particularly high end in terms of material feel-to-the-touch, it does feel well-made, strong and sturdy.There is a wire around the outer brim which makes it very easy to shape the hat to prevent it from becoming floppy. The wire is so flexible and malleable that you can easily fold the hat up for travelling, and then re-open it and re-shape it with ease.The top of the hat is of a decent thickness and the whole hat feels like it would do a good job of protecting me from UV rays.There is a tightening elastic at the back of the hat where the ponytail hole is so if it's too big upon arrival, you can make it smaller to fit you. There is also a little piece of velcro on the inside which I think is also there to help customise the hat size.There is a non-removable chin strap. The adjustor / tightener on the chin strap is a bit cheap-feeling but it works well.All in all, while not the most expensive-feeling hat, and with some of the components feeling like they could be of higher quality, overall I found the quality good enough for me - and it is a well-made hat, that is comfy to wear and look nice on.
