I'm a beginner chainsaw user and this lil guy has been a good fit for my petite size and the types of gardening usages I need it for such ass pruning our large garden of big plants and palm trees. Its small stature allows for these smaller, more detailed tasks to be done with efficiency and fineness. The chainsaw is lightweight, maneuvers well in tighter and hard to reach areas and is straight forward to operate. The charge time for a 40Ah Makita battery takes about 30 minutes and will last about that long, maybe a little less of continuous use. The battery life has been a bit of an issue that I'm working through. I either need to get a larger battery or split my gardening tasks up so that the pruning of all my hundreds of plants is spread out to a few sessions. I do love that I'm not constricted to any area with an electrical cord being that its battery operated. Also, we've had to manually adjust the chain tension frequently between longer tasks as the chainsaw tends to stretch with more usage. Now, we do this after and before each use to make sure the chain does not jump off the bar. Overall, the value is fair with the asking price, especially if you already have the Makita battery.

This handheld chainsaw is powerful and great gift to anyone in the tree business. Great to have to trim those trees in the backyard. Speed is perfect battery life last for days.
