Habe aus 2 Wellen alles zusammenbebaut,hätte nur eine Schaltmuffe zirka 20 Euro gebraucht den Rest kann ich verschrotten!!!

This gearset fixes a well known problem where the MTD transaxle gear "dog" that engages forward or reverse gear wears to the point where it pops in and out of gear, usually while in forward, and can happen on up or down slopes. The effect is the mower "skips", like the belt is slipping then grabbing. You may or may not hear a grinding or chattering noise when it happens. Replacing the gears is not so easy. The transaxle must be removed, then opened up, and the old gears pulled out and replaced by the new ones. Don't lose the gearshift detent ball bearing and spring while opening up the case. A special grease is needed if you need to add some to replace what was clinging to the old gears or if the old grease is hardened. The grease should look like black Greek yogurt, almost but not quite flowable. If more must be added be sure to get the "type 00 clay thickened grease" (clay or bentonite thickener is very important as other grease types are incompatible and will result in early failure of the transaxle).
