For the price its a convenient fly rod option, but really heavy to cast.It really need to have double handed cork grips or at least a fighting butt to hang onto when casting. The 3.0m/10ft rod I received casts best with a 10wt line, but unfortunately it arrived with a broken ceramic ring inside the tip ring rendering it unusable in a fishing situation. I sent photos and the seller resolved the situation really quickly.I also have the 2.4m/7'8'' version sold as a 5wt but that works best with 7wt line.So with my experience I guess I would recommend the 2.7m/9ft rod with an 8wt or 9wt line, but it would still be better with an extra cork butt under the reel seat. That said, the lower reel seat locking threads are long enough that you can get by double handed by holding onto them under the reel.
