Se acabó el problema de si has prensado poco o muchos el café, el café sale de la máquina como debe, con su crema y sabor.Además el tamper tiene una estética bonita y es robusto.Pegas… alguna tiene y la principal pega su precio, pero ya sabes lo que vale al comprarlo, ¿no?

Früher hatte ich einen normalen Motta Tamper mit Holzgriff, bei dem ich aber immer sehr vorsichtig sein muss, dass ich nicht schief tampe.Seit einiger Zeit nutze ich den Aluminium Tamper von Normcore, also im Prinzip das gleiche Modell wie dieses hier, nur mit Aluminium-Griff und mit glatter Tamper-Oberfläche.Die Holzversion hier ist vom Workflow her identisch. Durch das Federsystem ist sichergestellt, dass ich auf jeden Fall ein ebenes Kaffeebett habe. Das ist erst ein bisschen eine Umstellung, da man durch die eingebauten Federn natürlich ein ganz anderes Feedback hat. Aber seit ich diese Art von Tamper in meinen Workflow eingebaut habe, möchte ich ihn nicht mehr missen. Vor allem, weil andere (weniger nerdige) Hausbewohner jetzt auch leichter Espresso machen können.Im Vergleich zur Alu-Variante finde ich diesen Tamper etwas zu leicht, aber das ist denke ich Geschmackssache. Die Rillen auf dem Tamperboden finde ich persönlich überflüssig, das ist nur wieder so ein Gimmick, was cool aussieht, aber vermutlich nichts am tatsächlichen Flussverhalten ändert.

I'm always amazed by Normcore products, and this time it's not different. I have an early model of the V4 tamper that I compared this with and you can see the improvements they made to production. I'll touch on the differences later.- Consistency:This tamper ticks all the boxes for consistent tamping, which is probably the most important thing on a tamper:* Self leveling - There's a brim that prevents the tamping surface from becoming uneven* Pressure calibration - The replaceable springs are calibrated to different pressures* Tight tolerance (58.5mm instead of 58mm) - This means the pressure is applied more evenly on the coffee. With bigger tolerances you could end up with less pressure applied on the edges of the puck.Having a consistent tamper removes some variables from making espresso, letting you focus on the other ones.- Fit:I got the 58.5mm model, which fit both my Breville Barista Max at home and my E61 at work. The extra tight tolerance means the tamping surface compacts the puck evenly, avoiding lower resistance areas around the puck.I measured with calipers and the size is as advertised.- Materials:I really like the machining quality and coating that was applied to the metals. The titanium coating does actually prevent the coffee from sticking a little bit, but it's not perfect.I think a bare metal tamper would have also been fine.The wood looks nice, but I prefer my older model made of metal. This one is way lighter tho, due to the wood handle.- Ripple surface:The ripple effect left on the puck is really satisfying, but I don't really know if this improves the coffee in any way. I was not able to notice the difference.- Adjustment:The tamper comes with 3 springs calibrated to different pressures. There is unfortunately no depth adjustment, but the distance the tamper goes down is perfect for my shots with 18 grams of coffee.Replacing the springs takes a little time and effort but it's by no means difficult. Watch a video on Youtube before you do it, and make sure you don't lose the locking pin.- Improved production:I have an older model of the V4, and the machining really improved with this one. There was lots of cosmetic defects on some of the parts before, and the springs didn't seem the best quality, but now everything is better.Normcore really stepped their game up and quality is really good.

Love it, consistent tamp, parts all screw together so the springs are easy to switch out. Nice build quality.

The tamper is solid and the quality is great, but unfortunately I got one with two big scratches on the wooden handle. I have paid for a luxury and high end tamper, so I expect to get something without any issue.**** Update ****After contacting customer support, They agreed to send me a handle replacement. It shows that you can trust to this brand, definitely it worth!After somedays using the tamper, I can say it met my expectation 100% because:1- The bottom size (53.3mm) does not allow any coffee particle to stay on the basket wall around the tamper.2- Reproducible perfect result after each tamping due to solid spring pressure.3- If you spray water on the coffee beans before grinding coffee, no coffee particle remain on the tamper at all, if not, depends on your coffee and grinder, there is a chance of remaining few particles on the tamper.

Da der Tamper 58.5 Durchmesser hat, passt er ideal fuer meine Flair 58. Ich arbeite mit der standard feder welche bereits installiert war und habe sehr gute Resultate erziehlt. Kein channeling. Preis Leistung des Tampers ist super. Mir gefaellt das Muster des tamps und die Beschichtung hilft, dass kaum Kaffee an dem Tamper haengen bleibt. Super ist auch das autoleveling. Wahrscheinlich lerne ich so nie vernuenftig tampen, muss ich aber auch nicht :-)

Normcore Kaffeezubehören gehören zu den besten, und dieser Tamper ist keine Ausnahme. Hohe Qualität, tolles Design, guter Griff, ein Vergnügen zu verwenden. Man kann billiger kaufen, aber es ist es nicht wert. Dies ist mein fünfter Tamper, alle billigeren haben mich enttäuscht. Wenn man billig kauft, kauft man zweimal.Ich habe nur einen Tamper, den ich daneben stellen würde, der MHW-3Bomber (auch ein druckgesteuerter Tamper). Wobei mir der Normcore besser gefällt:- Er liegt viel besser in der Hand, er hat einen viel besseren Griff. Der MHW-3Bomber fühlt sich an, als wäre er für eine Kinderhand gemacht worden.- Geschmackvolleres, harmonischeres DesignDer MHW-3Bomber knallt, wenn der eingestellte Druck erreicht ist, was ein deutliches Zeichen ist. Daran scheiden sich die Geister: Die einen meinen, die Vibration könne den Puck beschädigen und daher ein Nachteil ist, die andere lieben die klare Rückmeldung. Ich würde es also weder als Vor- noch als Nachteil bezeichnen...Ich denke, beide sind großartige Anschaffungen, aber für mich gewinnt der Normcore.
