After two weeks of use, the camera returned a black screen, no more picture. The connection, lamp, and overall working, but the camera failed. I gave 3 stars, since it was was a nice equipment, no problem with the app, the connection, and part.

Having stuck one of these things in my ear, I know how he feels.Having used Otix eardrops in my ears for the last six months, I wasn't expecting to see much in the way of waxy residue, but I was in for a shock. Both ears were blocked with huge stinky brown residues. The Otix hadn't even made a dent.What's amazing is that I was able to see it all in glorious HD via an app on my phone. It really does boggle my mind that such an impressive bit of kit is so cheap (£23.99 at time of purchase). The app is downloaded from the Play Store (I use Android, so can't comment on the iPhone version). Instructions for set up were easy.to follow. Switch the camera on and it broadcasts its own wi-fi signal. Connect your phone to this and, in theory, you should be able to the feed from your camera. This is one.of my few criticisms - on several occasions my phone connected to the Wi-Fi signal, but the app refused to acknowledge this. It took several restarts of the app and camera to get it to work.Once it does work, the performance is excellent. I was able to remove a huge lump of wax from each ear with relative ease. It can be quite disorienting at first controlling the camera, e.g. your instinct is to move left, but the image on the screen goes right. It occured to me that it would be useful to flip the image, but they had already thought of this. You can flip the image depending on which ear you are cleaning.My second and final criticism is that putting things in your ear is dangerous and you risk perforating your eardrum if you are not careful. Some safety advice and warnings would have been appreciated. I managed to scrape my eardrum only gently and that was a rude awakening. Be very careful when using this and perhaps seeks professional advice before you do. If you have ear issues such as infection, you might be better seeing a professional.,

First Impressions----------------------This is a stylish, well-constructed device with an assortment of attachments and tools. It works similar to those endoscope devices you can get for looking in tight spaces with attachments to perform a basic functions. This is similar, but on a much smaller scale. The thin stainless-steel tube houses a very small wi-fi enabled camera and light. At the end of the stainless steel tube, you attach little silicone scrapers to coax out wax, or objects that might be in your ear. All of this can be seen on your phone in real time high definition video.Operation--------------The setup involves downloading an application from the app store. No signup or registration is required so you’re up and running straight away. The live footage obtained from the tiny camera is amazing. The lighting and camera work perfectly together to show you something that would normally be inaccessible. You need to be mindful that you’re looking inside your ear, and not to go too deep in case you create a problem that wasn’t there before you started. The various shaped blue tips fit snugly onto the device, giving you the confidence that they wont slide off when in use.Summary------------While the views are amazing, I find that trying to use it on myself with any confidence is very difficult, due to the angles and manipulation needed to navigate around inside the ear safely. In contrast, If you can find anyone brave enough to let you look into their ears, you will find it a less frustrating experience. The question is, would you let someone loose on your ears with this!My only criticism is that this device, and its various tips and tools don’t have a decent box to house them in. You must rely on the flimsy packaging to try and hold it all together. It seems such a shame that a delicate instrument such as this does not have a study case to protect it, and it’s accessories, from damage. For this reason alone, I’m dropping a star.

It comes with an initial charge, several tools and a charger. It also has an easily installed app. I love that we have the technology to see within our ears and I could clearly see my tympanic membranes with this tool. I do feel that the metallic tools supplied with it are of too rough a finish for me to want to start scraping my ears with, even if there was an obstruction suspected. Even the little silicone ends to the main 'scope' have the potential to dislodge and cause problems. You can use it to see inside other orifices though, so it may be useful in a situation, to confirm a foreign body, but I personally would leave it at that.As far as this type of product goes, this one is comparable with others in quality and price, but the official advice is to not go in your ear with anything smaller than your elbow.

This Ear wax removal camera tool is an amazing tool for checking your ears as well as lot's of other uses and not just for the ears. This comes in a compact box with the tool about the size of a pen, USB cable, 6 ear spoons in different sizes, instructions and set of tools, the only thing that I think is missing is a storage case to put these in instead of the box which would make it a lot easier to have everything together.I was a little worried about using this in the beginning as I didn't want to cause any damage however when you use it it is very soft on the ear and doesn't hurt and you can see very well what is in their and how you are using it. There is an app you need to download first using the QR code or searching for it and this is simple to connect to and to use without any issues. I have included a picture of the inside of the ear as I haven't seen any on the previous reviews and think it would be helpful to some people ( sorry if you don't want to see this :) )To be honest I haven't used the metal tools apart from the coiled wax remover just to try as I am worried that I can't see what I am doing with them and may cause damage but this has made such a difference as I have a son who always has problems with wax build up and I can now check for myself without keep having to go to the GP about it and I then know if it is a problem or not and I can then treat it with oil.The price of this is currently £21.99 and at the moment also has a 50% off voucher which is amazing and definitely worth every penny to buy this, I would absolutely recommend this product and will come in handy for lot's of different things.

The camera is pretty good; it gives a good view and is useful for more than just ear wax.The picture quality is surprisingly good at the right angles. Unfortunately, it’s pretty hard to use with a stable image, which means poking it around your ear is pretty nerve wracking. No matter what setting you use, the image doesn’t quite move as you expect it to.The rest of the tools are things that I would be very nervous using myself; especially with such a shaky camera. Oben aus schwarzem Kunststoff und in der Verlängerung aus einem dünnen Metallrohr sich nach vorn verjüngend zu einer dünnen Metallform auf welcher ein kleiner blauer Silikonaufsatz aufgesetzt werden kann. Von diesen Aufsätzen sind außer dem bereits aufgesetzten, noch fünf weitere Aufsätze in einem separaten Glasröhrchen der Lieferung beigelegt. In der App geht man auf verbinden und hat sofort ein Kamerabild. Allerdings zeigt dies noch nicht viel!? Geht man jetzt mit der dünnen Spitze „VORSICHTIG und LNANSAM“ in eines seiner Ohren, erkennt man im Abbbild das Ohrinnere. Was mich faszinierte, war das sehr klare Bild. Das hätte ich bei der winzigen Kameragröße um welche ja auch noch die beleuchtungs-LED gruppiert sind, NICHT erwartet. PRIMASo konnte ich im Bild meines rechten Ohres zwei kleine Entzündungsstellen erkennen, von denen ich bisher nichts wusste und die ich auch nicht bemerkt hatte.Aber bitte, Seien sie bim Vordringen in Ihr Ohr, besonders auch, wenn Sie einem Ihrer Kinder einmal ins Ohr schauen möchten, BESONDERS VORSICHTIG, denn das Trommelfell könnte mit der – für meine Begriffe zu dünnen – Spitze dieses durchstoßen. Weswegen ich auch einen Stern abziehe.
